Why we Need to Take Risks

We need to take risks. Life is simply about risk and reward - for every action, there's a reaction. Where there is risk, you can be rewarded with many of the benefits you deserve: money, friends, and, in some cases, even love.

However, risks aren't just reserved for individual efforts - big companies do it all the time too. For instance, take the athletic field of history.

Do you remember the risks taken by Nike, Motorola, and Adidas in creating the world's first mass-produced shoes? Do you know about the great risks taken by George Eastman, Charles Schwab, John D. Rockefeller, and Andrew Carnegie in building up their companies?

The wheel was invented at a time when there were no cars or trains to go slow down our pace when we needed to be at our destination quickly. Similarly, computers were invented during a time when nothing could be done fast enough for people to access information instantly. Even so, many companies spent years working on developing their own versions of these machines before giving up because it just wasn't worth it yet.

However, the risks that companies are required to take in order to be successful are based on the risks that YOU are required to take in order to achieve your own success.

When you start taking more risks, you'll find that the rewards will constantly multiply over time. You'll also discover what kind of rewards work best for you. If you're not sure what kind of reward works best for you yet, then take a risk and see! The only way to do this is by trying different things and learning from your mistakes.

Here are two rules to live by:

Rule #1 : Risk it all, you only get one shot! If you don't take risks, your life will never improve.

Rule #2 : Take more of your own risks than anyone else's! Don't wait for the permission of others to become successful. You need to start now and let them follow. What others are afraid of doing will only benefit you.
