Successful Myspace Strategies

"Myspace is dead, so get over it." When you hear those words I bet you'll be a little offended. It's true that Myspace isn't the powerhouse of social network it once was. But in this article I am going to show you some successful strategies for using MySpace as an effective PR and marketing tool. For example, my favourite strategy is to promote your blog using a roll-up banner ad on their homepage.

"How can I use MySpace to promote my business?" Admittedly, I am not a guru of internet promotions. I'm just a full-time college student who loves to blog and I'm trying to learn how to use this new tool called blogging as a PR and marketing tool. BEST WAYS TO USE MYSPACE FOR MARKETING

1. Web 2 Blog. This is a good strategy if you want to turn your myspace blog into a full fledged blog. It actually took me awhile to find out how this works, and I finally figured it out the other day and I am very happy with the results. In order to do this strategy you need to sign up for a myspace account first! Then, go to: www.myspaceblog.com/signup (please let me know in the comments section below if this link stops working) After that, all you have to do is make your Myspace blog at www.myspaceblog.com/create Your Myspace blog will have the same look as your Myspace profile, but your visitors can comment on it and read the blog posts. You do not have to use the default templates for your blog. You can always explore and find your own templates that you like to use.

2. Advertising with Myspace Ads. This strategy is just like any other online advertising platform (ex: Google Adwords). The best part about using myspace ads is the budget is much more affordable than Google Adwords, so if you are looking for a way to spend as little money as possible, then this is the way to go. Free banner ads on your Myspace account for a span of 12 months. To get this, just add the following code to your HTML website:

Conclusion

Myspace is an effective PR and marketing tool; the problem is a lot of people don't know how to use it. For example, I have used myspace ads to promote my blog (www.myspaceblog.com) . I did not even think of using this platform as a way of promoting my blog but I am very happy with the results so far.
