Los 7 Mejores Musicales

 Los 7 Mejores Musicales

If you have seen the musicals Hamilton, Wicked, Les Misérables, or Mamma Mia!, you know they are amazingly well-crafted and catchy. In an age where many people don't have time for "choreography" in a live production because they're too busy with work or their social life, these songs are just as powerful if not more so. These lyrics tell stories of love, tragedy and success that can't be found anywhere else but on stage with live performers.
This article will provide a list of 7 songs that have recently become a top hit on the charts, and are catchy enough to get people singing along. I'm sure there are many more tracks that could be included in this list, so I'll give you some recommendations as well. Songs from "Hamilton" , "Wicked", "Starlight Express", and "Mamma Mia!" will be listed first in each category. For the rest of the articles, I'll include one from each musical.
Here are the recommendations:
1. "Magic To Do" from "Starlight Express"
2. "I Want It All" from "We Will Rock You"
3. "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" from "Monty Python's Spamalot"
4. "Mama Who Bore Me" from "Pippin"(It's a great song, but it doesn't have many views on YouTube. This song can stand alone however.)
5.  Any number from  Les Misérables (This musical is very long and there could be other fantastic songs.)(Also, I'm including the song below because it was popular too) 6. "Master of the House" from "Les Misérables"
7.
"Take On Me" from "Savion Glover's Push Play"(This song isn't very known, so it doesn't have many views on YouTube. Like I said above, this song can stand alone.)
1.  "Alexander Hamilton" from  Hamilton (In The Heights)– Lin-Manuel Miranda makes a statement and does it VERY well here. The first track off his first musical is an amazing standout. It has every aspect of a contemporary show tune, while also giving you an accurate depiction of Alexander Hamilton's life story that ended in tragedy and success.
2. "Defying Gravity" from  Wicked – This song is so powerful and well-known, it has a whole segment for it in the hit Disney movie "Enchanted." If you haven't heard this song before, I'm sure you've heard it after watching the movie or listening to the soundtrack.
3.
"Popular" from  Wicked – It's hard to follow up Defying Gravity, but if you can, you get this catchy show tune about a sarcastic green-skinned girl named Elphaba.

Conclusion: The songs in this list were chosen because they are well-known and catchy, or they have a great story to tell. I did my best to find well-known tracks that I didn't already recommend, but this is a list that could be expanded upon and updated. What's your favorite song of all time?
