Link Exchanges: What they can do for your business: (Part 2)

Link Exchanges: What they can do for your business: (Part 2)

In the previous post, we have discussed the two different types of link exchanges and their pros and cons. And now we are here to talk about the reasons why it is a good idea to do link exchanges in your business.

Link exchanges are an old technique that has been around for quite some time. However, they have been used mostly by SEOs who need a boost in rankings on certain keywords in order to improve search engine positions. But over recent years, many brands and businesses have begun using them too because they’ve found it can provide some benefits that are not just limited to rankings but other areas as well such as social shares and traffic among other things.

So what are these benefits of link exchanges? Here we go:

You get a backlink on another website This is already obvious but I said it anyway. When you get other websites to link to your site, you will get one back in return. Backlinks are needed for SEO so getting them from other sites is great. This also means that when people see those links, they will also be able to find your website and hopefully visit it too. And if you attract the right kind of people to your website then that’s great too because they can help increase your sales! You can build relationships with other businesses In any business success is mostly achieved by relationships and partnerships because they are the foundation for building business strategies. Link exchanges are a good way of establishing relationships with other businesses because you will be able to benefit from their backlinks and they will also benefit from yours too. You can boost your business’s digital presence If your business is online and you have a website that people can find, why not include some links to other websites that relate to that particular industry? You can also include links from other industries too like the online travel industry for example and if people come across these links then they would be more likely to visit your website.

So there are many reasons why link exchanges should be included in your marketing plan. And the best thing is that it doesn’t cost much to get started with them.

You can start the process by contacting any business with relevant content or who is in your target market to see if they are willing to link to you. Other than that, you just need to make sure that your website content is relevant and have potential for being linked. I think this is a good place to start if you are wanting to add links in your marketing plan as it’s a very low down cost.
