Five New Trends In Increasing Website Exposure

There are many ways in which you can improve your website exposure, depending on what you want to go for. Even if you're not planning on making the money that Adsense and Web Analytics bring in, there are still plenty of methods to improve your website's reach without any more work.

There are also a few new trends that have popped up recently that we don't really have a specific name for- they're just different methods of getting attention to increase our websites' exposure. In this article, I'll explore some of these recent trends as well as how they've been effective.
First off, we have the new trend of "SEOmoz". It was started as an ambitious project by Moz, a search engine optimization agency. They created a new meta tag for your website to help you out with your search engine marketing efforts. They call it "Meta keywords" and they allow you to specify multiple keywords- much like our meta tags now- and can be used in all areas of your website, not just the title tags alone. For best results, though, it's recommended that you use it with the <head> tag as well. It's a way for anyone to automatically get the keywords they're trying to use in the search engines for their websites and it's been a very popular technique.

Another method that's been effective is the "Social Media" trend. It's used to get your website more exposure on social networking websites such as Twitter and Facebook, rather than the direct advertising of Adsense. The idea is similar to a contest- you post your website link on these sites so people can visit and vote on it. You can even tailor it to be more specific in terms of what the contest is about, or the votes can automatically go towards the most popular vote. The key point is that you're getting people's attention for your website by pushing out a message that they'll share with others.

Then we have the "Trending" trend: Essentially, this has been developed to get more exposure for websites based on their popularity- it's a method of getting popular websites' attention by having them show up on another website based on some sort of algorithm. If your website is popular, it will get attention because of the fact that it's being viewed a lot and often. The trending trend is also referred to as "Networking", where you're trying to get as much publicity as possible for your website by linking to various websites that are popular. The more sites you're linked with, the more attention you'll gather in the process.

Of course, there's always a way to earn some money online using your own website for something- in this case, we have "Sponsorships". This is an idea where you gather up advertising from various companies and put them all into a single spot on your website. You may even give out banners or something along those lines. Because all the advertising is lumped together, it's more noticeable than if each were present on its own. This is especially effective for those with websites that have a lot of viewers- you'll be able to make some money from it, as well as gather exposure to get even more viewers.

Last, but certainly not least, is the "Network" trend. To sum it up, this trend is more of a long term project that you should try out only once you already have a website up and running. The website acts as the hub of various other websites that are part of its network. You post links to your network on your hub website, and you get backlinks from each of the websites in your network. The more popular your website is, the better chance you'll have at getting other people's attention.

As you can see, there are plenty of new trends around for improving our websites' exposure- if you're planning on taking a more long term approach to advertising and growing traffic to your website, these tips may be helpful in achieving that goal. Stay tuned for my next article on maximizing the effectiveness of these new trends!

First off, we have the new trend of "SEOmoz". It was started as an ambitious project by Moz, a search engine optimization agency. They created a new meta tag for your website to help you out with your search engine marketing efforts. Basically, this new meta tag helps your search engine optimization efforts out by giving you a way to create keywords that will help rank you higher in a topical search. You can specify the keywords that you want to rank higher for as well as prioritize certain keywords because they're so important. Another great feature of this meta tag is that it allows you to get paid whenever specific websites link to you, which is useful for those who don't mind making money from their website traffic.
Then there's "Tag Harvesting". This is a method where your website visitors can complete surveys on your site while they're browsing it- the idea is that they'll be more likely to stick around if they have something interesting or valuable on your site.

Conclusion: There are many different ways in which you can improve your website exposure- you can even make money from it. You don't have to worry about a thing, as there are plenty of marketing companies out there that will help you for a small fee. In fact, many of the ideas discussed on this page have helped thousands of others gain more traffic and more attention- if used properly, they can work out very well for your own site.
