Finding A Good Ebay Seller And How To Spot The Bad Ones

In this article, I want to talk about the importance of finding a good eBay seller and how to spot the bad ones. It's important for me because as an eBay buyer this is what I care about most!
To find a good eBay seller, you have to do your research before bidding on anything. There are some great resources out there that you can use to help make life easier and when it comes to deciding which seller I want to buy from, they are much appreciated!

In general, we recommend looking at sellers' feedback rating and reviews. You can do this by using the search function on eBay and if you don't have any high ratings then we find it's worth to research about why they don't have any feedback.
But why is it important?
Most of us buy something every day, a lot of times more than once, so how can you know how good of a seller to trust? This is one of the main reasons why we recommend customer feedback rather than simply relying on seller feedback score, because you can see what people who've bought from that person are saying.
The more feedback a seller has and the higher rating they have, the more valuable information about their service or goods they're providing.
So, what should you look for?
We'd recommend looking at:
How many people have bought from this seller on eBay and how many of them have left feedback. The more feedback a seller has the more confident you can be to buy because they're proven reliable. It's still worth checking out if possible just to make sure there's nothing negative out there though. How recent is their negative feedback? For example, if someone leaves a negative review then it's obviously not something the seller has done in the last 3 months, so you can ignore it! We would also recommend looking at a sellers return policy. If they don't have one then it's worth doing some research to find out what their return policy is. Who have they sold to and what are the buyers saying? It's obvious but always worth noting if a seller only sells to a specific group of people, that could be a red flag that means they're probably not reputable and you should avoid buying from them.
As you can see there are several things to look for when you're looking for a good eBay seller. Just because someone has been on eBay for years, doesn't mean it means they're trustworthy or reliable. You just have to look out for the details and do a bit of research before you buy!
