Dresses Are The Newest It Thing
Wearing a dress is very much like wearing a suit. On one hand it can be elegant and classy, but on the other, it can show off your figure in all its glory. Dresses are masculine and feminine at the same time which means that you can easily get away with wearing them to your next work meeting or even the office party. It's important to remember that although you might look amazing in a dress, in order to make sure you don't look intimidatingly sexy for all those guys around you who wear suits every day, try going for something more fitted and demure. This will give off the impression of modesty without looking like an old-fashioned lady.
Sexy Lace Dress with High Slit
You can look and feel sexy in this dress. The lace detailing, the high slit and the revealing back make it perfect for flirting, which is always encouraged at parties. Another plus is that you don't have to do much to keep it looking great, except maybe pair it with a leather jacket and some killer heels to balance out the look.
Stripe Dress with Choker Neckline
The silhouette of this dress is incredible for showing off your curves. The way the stripes wrap around your body will give off an illusion of being taller than you actually are, a feature most women would kill for.
Grey Pure Color Scalloped Neck Dress
Whether you're going casual or a bit more dressy, this dress will always look amazing. The color is very neutral, making it easy for it to be paired with practically anything. The choker neckline and the scalloped hem add just the right amount of sex appeal so you don't feel like you're wearing a school uniform.
CHAPTER EIGHT
FAITH
It's been two weeks since I've started my internship at Victoria magazine and I might just kill my boss before then ends of today if he does anything else embarrassing in front of me. He can't take his eyes off me when he isn't busy screaming at me. I've never been so mortified in my life!
I was reading a book on the company flight to L.A. Since there were a bunch of us girls on staff, the pilot decided to make everyone listen to a book that was appropriate for its content – like Clueless or Blame It On The Bellboy or something like that. This time it was The Handmaiden's Tale which is a pretty good book if you ask me, but since everyone had to listen to it, no one could enjoy it.
Of course I wasn't paying much attention to the book because I'm too busy keeping up with my magazines and stuff, but then the pilot tells us that we are about to land and I close all my publications and stash them in my backpack so they don't get damaged when the plane bumps on the runway. My boss isn't expecting this though, because he goes: "Uh Faith? Why are you closing your things?"
I said: "Sir? We're about to land – you don't want me reading anymore.
Conclusion:
Ever since then, everyone thinks that I'm his little intern that he brought with him to be a master of ceremonies. When we're in meetings together, they act like I'm his assistant or something – which is great for me, because I get to be there and observe everything! Which is not so great for my boss though… A couple of times, our CEO has called me out on it and told me what's acceptable and what's not. One time my boss tried to flirt with me during a meeting and I accidentally told the CEO.
