Cowboy Up! Western Wear: From Cowboy Boots to Stylish Western Handbags

Cacti, tumbleweeds, and dirt. These are all popular Western images that invoke the spirit of the American West. Western wear has come a long way since those early days when cowboys wore suits of rough denim or homespun wool. Today, nearly every top designer is at work in creating affordable and wearable styles.
Cowboy Up! presents a complete collection of make-up, fashion accessories, and men's and women's western wear in a visually stunning new book.
The pages of Cowboy Up! brim with striking images of cowboys working the land, lassoing steers, and roping cattle. The clothing enhances the cowboy image with bold graphics and colors that reflect the spirit of the Old West. The accessories are equally evocative: sunburnt hands grasp rifles or their unsmiling faces peer through silhouetted sunglasses or mirrored aviator shades.
The combination of the book's offbeat images and dreadlocks on the models is at once nostalgic, retro, and fresh; a homage to the best of Americana. Cowboy Up! is a celebration of both the fashion and sense of style that has long been associated with the West.
What makes Cowboy Up! so special, aside from its incredible design, is that each item in the book complements its specific purpose. The accessories include western-inspired purses and wallets with bold prints like Native American inspired totes or geometric bags with buckles and hardware, cow tips or tortoise shell frames for hats, chaps to accessorize pantsuits or dresses, sombreros for men's suits or sportcoats for women.
The men's and women's western wear includes: chaps and jeans, shirts with buttons or snaps, blouses or dresses, vests with belts and buttons. These will really complement any look for a man or woman. Cowboy Up! is an informal companion for the modern western collection; a place where you can find quality western wear at affordable prices.

For Fall 2013 (opening soon), The Blue Owl Workshop worked with John Varvatos on an assortment of boot styles, including "Dress Boot", "Trouser Boot", "Ballboots" and a range of styles ranging from chukkas to hiking boots. The Blue Owl Workshop has had a long-time collaboration with Obey Clothing Company , which has included offerings in footwear, apparel and accessories.

Conclusion
This year's Spring/Summer 2013 Menswear collections on the runway had a softer more sophisticated look. Shirts are slightly shorter and the pants have been cut tighter, some even with waistbands or belt loops. The tunics, blazers and shirts were sharp and the colors vibrant. Men's belts are still very much in style, but they' re making their comeback with buckle-less belts used to close shirts and as back opening belts on jackets. These new season's menswear show reflects how fashion has evolved since 2011 when Fall/Winter 2011 is still fresh in our minds.
