Your favorite designer handbag is made for style and function, and it's a testament to your personal taste. However, even the best bags can start to lose their vibrancy after awhile. You're still in love with that bag but the inside lining or hardware has started to come apart. To avoid this issue, you'll need to take good care of your bag and regularly clean it. Below are 11 easy ways you can deep clean your designer handbag while also getting some time at the gym!

1) Use HOT wash water with soap instead of cold water.

2) Use a toothbrush to clean inside the bag. A toothbrush is small enough to get into all the corners of your purse.

3) Remember, purple cleaner is not just for toilets. It also works great on handbags! And its much cheaper than those fancy leather cleaners.

4) For a heavy duty clean, use a sandwich bag and fill it with white vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio. Zip it up and let it sit in the purse overnight. Remove the bag the next morning and wipe down your handbag with a damp cloth or sponge. Let air dry thoroughly before using again.

5) A clean toothbrush is also a great way to get into the small zipper.

6) Don't forget about your bag's hardware. Dirt and grime can build up on the hardware like zippers, handles and even your bag's clasp. Remember to regularly wipe down the hardware of any handbag you own.

7) Cleaning a leather purse? Use a mixture of 2 tablespoons olive oil with 1 teaspoon liquid soap in it, rub on to the leather with a sponge or cloth and let it soak for up to an hour while you attend your daily activities. Let it air dry before using again.
