The feedback score will show how many transactions that particular user has participated in and what percentage of those transactions ended up with negative or neutral feedback comments about them from other buyers (i.e., 1% negative feedback equals 99% positive). And if there are a few negative feedback comments against the seller, it may be a good idea to simply skip that user. But if there are no negative or neutral feedback comments against them, then that's a good indication that they're most likely just making up the negative ones for their own benefit.

2) Check the Seller's History: To find out about what kind of history an eBay user has on eBay, you can go onto the seller's profile page and look at his or her other transactions.  But always keep in mind that each transaction is individualized, meaning that every transaction is different. And what happens with one transaction may not happen with another. But, if you want to see a specific transaction, you can just click on the seller's ID number that you see next to their eBay user name and it will take you right there.

3) Look for Bargains but Read Every Detail: There are many different ways sellers try to trick buyers into thinking they're actually getting something special or buying an item at a discount when they're really not. So always read every word of the listing from top to bottom before agreeing to buy anything. And if they say "I accept returns", then make sure that it's only in cases where the item is defective or doesn't work (which should be obvious from reading the listing). And if they're going to charge you $10 or something for shipping, make sure that it's only because it's a heavy item. If it's a light item, then they shouldn't be charging you anything just for shipping.
