Caring Of A Tie
We all have clothes we don't wear as often. Ties are notoriously difficult to care for because they need to be taken care of by hand or else you risk damaging the fabric with the heat from a dryer. But there are ways to maintain ties without having them destroyed in a matter of hours! Follow these steps and your tie will last much, much longer.
1. Don't wash by hand! This is the biggest mistake most people make with ties! Instead of taking a gentle approach to caring for your tie, attempt to find a dry cleaner that can remove wrinkles and lint out of your tie. If you live in an area where weather doesn't play such a big role, you can also hang your tie up in the bathroom to dry after every shower. Unlike shirts, however, you can't put them in the dryer without risking fabric damage so don't try!
2. Remember that the inside is just as important as the outside! Ties are meant for being worn over and over again so don't be afraid to keep it simple when it comes it cleaning. If you were to try and clean the inside of the tie just like you would the outside, you would end up making it too time consuming to keep up with. Instead, just make sure that you're not wearing a tie with stains on it if it's meant to be worn in a professional setting.
3. Wearing a tie isn't all about what people see! One of the most common mistakes people make will ties is that they think they have to wear them all the time for them to be considered "good ties. " But if you're not careful, your tie will begin to fall apart. When you're not wearing a tie, hang it up using a hook or put it in the same place every time.
4. Remember that care can vary! Some ties should be dry cleaned and some should be hand washed and air dried. If you accidentally buy a tie that has to be dry cleaned, don't let that stop you from wearing your favorite accessory! Just put it on when you think about going out and plan to take it off right before leaving the house. This way, no one but yourself will know that you didn't actually wear it all day!
5. Never let guest use a tie if it's not yours! If you're going on vacation with your friend, the last thing you want to do is give them a tie that doesn't go with the rest of their wardrobe. Just because your tie doesn't look that great or you haven't bothered to spruce it up well enough doesn't mean that someone else won't. Don't give anyone else your accessories so that you can avoid a huge mistake.
CONCLUSION
While all of these tips aren't necessarily hard to follow, they are somewhat time consuming and require some self-control for anyone who wants to put in the effort of giving themselves some good ties.
Conclusion: I have come to see the world through the eyes of a vagabond.
For when you are out walking in your local town, you will notice many people. As they walk by, there is a certain swagger they exhibit, looking around as if they own this world. You might be one of these people yourself, out for recreation or trying to make a living in this world. At times I think there may be something wrong with you; eating at fast food chains all day and working jobs that have nothing to do with you are not good things.
