Celebrity birthstones are always a touchy subject. First, you have to figure out which celebrity you want to be close with. Then, you have to figure out a birthday that is compatible with the celebrity's specific birthstone. And finally, you have to hope they pick your date for their next post.

As we celebrate the month of April, we thought it would be fun to look up the birthstones for celebrities that have the same birthday month as us. What is a birthstone? It's a stone that appears in nature. Each month has a specific stone that represents it. 

  1. Channing Tatum: Aquamarine       The talented actor was born in April 1986. He is most well known for his roles in Step Up and Magic Mike . Channing was also in the X-Men franchise and has had a successful career as an actor. He is one of the newest stars on the Hollywood A-list.

2. Angelina Jolie: Peridot The Academy Award winning actress was born in April 1975. She is best known for her roles in movies such as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider , Girl Interrupted, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Salt. Jolie has recently gained popularity for her work in Maleficent and Unbroken .

3. Tom Cruise: Amethyst The star of Top Gun and Mission Impossible has been working hard since his start in show business almost 40 years ago when he was 12 years old (born July 3, 1962). Cruise has been nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in Born on the Fourth of July . He has also received numerous other accolades from the Screen Actor's Guild, Golden Globes as well as several other awards.

4. Emma Watson: Diamond The star of Harry Potter fame was born in April 1990. Watson has become one of the most famous actresses in recent years due to her roles in the series, The Perks of Being a Wallflower , The Bling Ring , and My Week with Marilyn . She also co-starred in the film, Vanity Fair .

5. Matt Damon: Emerald The Academy Award winning actor was born on April 26, 1970. He is known for his roles in movies such as Good Will Hunting , The Departed , and Dogma . Matt Damon not only acts but he is also a successful screenwriter, director, producer, and philanthropist.

6. Sean Connery: Diamond The legendary Scottish actor was born on August 25, 1930. Connery has appeared in an amazing number of movies over the course of his six decade career. He is best known for his iconic role as James Bond 007 in the film series from 1962-1971. Other popular roles include The Untouchables , The Name of the Rose , and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade .

7. Rachel McAdams: Amethyst  The Canadian actress was born on November 17, 1978.

Conclusion: All seven celebrities have birthstones that are also in April.
