Dental Insurance. The Nhs In Dental Shambles
The NHS is struggling with a shocking shortage of dentists. It’s because of this that many people are being forced to pay for private dental insurance as the NHS struggles to protect their teeth. However, choosing to go private isn't always necessary: the NHS do have some brilliant free dentistry suggestions on their website! This article will present you with those suggestions, allowing you to see whether or not the NHS are going far enough towards alleviating your fear of dental bills. Enjoy!
The National Health Service (NHS) is infamous for struggling in one respect - they're just not able to provide enough dentists within their system.
This is the reason behind the existence of private dentistry services - that's why we use the phrase 'private dentistry'. The real difference is that private dentists are allowed to charge much higher prices than those charged by the NHS. These days, it's not uncommon to spend more than £1,000 on a single filling!
The results of this can be seen in many ways: from unnecessary extraction procedures which are needed simply to avoid having your teeth pulled out (very painful and time consuming), to a general lack of care for the teeth. Both affect dental health too.
The NHS in this case, is good at one thing though: prevention. The British government actually publishes a free guide to preventing and curing tooth decay. It's called the 'Dental Health Foundation Guide to Promoting Good Oral Health'!
Contrary to popular belief, you can get free dental care from the NHS! This is why it's important for those who want their teeth saved from major problems to try and prevent them, not rely on private dentistry after all.

I am currently employed and insured by the NHS and I've never had any problems getting admittance there. The good thing about it being free is that you don't have to worry about the finances, if anything happens, your insurance covers everything (even if it happens during work).
