 Free Online Classifieds

Online classifieds have been around for about as long as software. And for good reason — there are plenty of people who want to sell things in the digital realm, without going through the hassle of finding a newspaper ad, bulletin board, or even e-mailing ads to specific groups. But with all these options out there, it can be hard to figure out which one is best.

Some of the more well-known options are eBay, Craigslist, and Amazon Marketplace. But what about some of the lesser-known options? The following are some online classifieds that a lot of people don’t know about.

Sell Your Stuff on Gumtree
A website that covers multiple countries, Gumtree is basically craigslist for the rest of the world. It’s an easy way for people to show off their goods for sale and make fast cash. All you have to do is post your item on a relevant category, and people will contact you with details.

Sell Your Junk on Swap.com
If you’ve just gone through a big move, or have an empty garage, you can make money by selling your stuff on Swap.com. What sets it apart from other online classifieds is that everything has to be mailed in — so if you don’t want people knowing where you live, this isn’t the place for you. But if you’re looking for a place to sell off your junk and get some extra cash in exchange, look no further than Swap.com.

Sell Your Junk in Seconds on FreeCycle.com
Another site that people go to for easy cash is FreeCycle.com. Unlike Swap, it will take cars, bikes, appliances and other big items — all you have to do is upload a picture of the item, then post it publicly and charge a fee for the privacy. It’s fast money, with no hustle involved.

Get Some Cash by Selling Your Old Stuff on SellYourOldThings.com
Many people have old things lying around their house, right? Well if you’ve decided that it’s time to get rid of them, go to SellYourOldThings.com. It has a wide variety of categories, and you can either list the things yourself, or make a bulk listing if you want to get rid of many items at once. With a fair amount of traffic, it’s an option that will make you some cash.

Sell Your Unused Gym Clothes on Swapgymclothes.com
If there are clothes sitting around your house that you never wear, but don’t want to throw away, why not sell them? That’s what people do on Swapgymclothes.com — it’s a site where you can post an item with a buyer and seller, and in seconds you can get your money.

Post Your Junk on FreeAds.com
If you’re tired of your old junk sitting around the house, why not sell it to someone else? That’s what they do on FreeAds.com — they take advertising space in return for people knowing that you’ve got something to dispose of. It’s more of a marketing scheme than anything, but if you want to double your cash flow then this is definitely worth looking into.

Post Your Stuff on AwesomeStuffForSale.com
AwesomeStuffForSale.com is a site that’s more concerned with cool stuff than anything else, and they believe that advertising is only worth something if it’s worth something to the buyer. So they take no ad space, but instead add items directly to their database — it’s a bit of a clunky layout (at least until you get used to it), but if you have some cool stuff, this is definitely one of the better options out there.

Post Vintage Clothing on Twentydollartrader.com
Looking for a vintage clothes site? Look no further than Twentydollartrader.com, where you can buy and sell retro clothes and accessories for cheap. You might not make a fortune, but if you’re looking for a way to get some extra cash it’s definitely worth checking out.

Post Your Used MP3s/DVDs/Games on FreeCycleEbay.com
There are a lot of sites that will let you sell your used CDs, DVDs, and even video games if they’re in good condition — with FreeCycleEbay.com being one of the best ones I know of. All you have to do is post an item and it will magically be on eBay, where you can get paid up to 80% for them.

Post Your Used Mobile Phones on FreeAdsWat.com
When it comes to selling old mobile phones, there are a lot of options out there — which makes this site from FreeAdsWat a little bit different. They’re more concerned with the things after the phone part — whether it’s a digital camera or anything else that might come with it, you can post an item in minutes and get paid for your used goods in seconds.

Put Your Free Stuff on FreeCycle.org
If you have old stuff lying around in your attic that nobody wants, why not give it away for free? That’s what FreeCycle.org does — all you have to do is post an item and look for a person who might want it. It’s amazing how much stuff comes in for free, and all you have to do is figure out where to put it.

Post Your Used Books on Bookinsoup.
