 Finding deals for Christmas Shopping

It's hard to find good deals in stores these days, but there are still ways to save money this holiday season! Whether you need some Christmas gift ideas for your friends and family, or want to get a head start on the shopping list, we've compiled the top 37 sites that will help you snag a steal. Let's dig in!

Oh man it's already December 1st. Now is the time when people usually overload their Facebook feeds with posts tagged with "last chance", and shoppers everywhere just groan. But have no fear, as I'm here to unveil some of the best websites (and apps) you should use this holiday season for incredible savings on everything from Christmas decorations to sweaters for your dog.

So let's get started! If you're looking for some inspiration on what to buy, here are some sites that will provide you with plenty.

eBay

eBay is a great place to buy gently used and brand new merchandise at a steep discount. eBay allows customers to leave reviews, so if you're not too confident about purchasing from the seller, make sure to check out the comments first. Some of my past eBay purchases include an iPad Mini (got it for $150 with no tax and free shipping), a 10-day vacation package (a three night stay in Maui for under $200), and many other amazing finds.

Here's some advice from eBay about how to find the best deals:

Shop experts (Category Experts) are eBay members who have a lot of experience and knowledge on specific categories. They volunteer by answering questions, providing information and tips on the category page or by writing articles or blog posts. You can see the Seller Expert badge on the profile page of an eBay member that is an expert in their field… With over 200 million items up for bid in the US alone, it’s hard to know where to start your search.

On top of that you can also use eBay's best new deals and top rated stores to ensure that the products you buy are worth your money.

Here are some quick tips:

If you're not a big eBayer, I would recommend buying from a seller with 100% feedback as active as possible. You can also do research on the eBay page for their store or eBayer profile to see what others have said about their transactions. If the seller has been active recently, say in the last month or so, they probably still have items left on their store. They're more likely to respond quickly if there's urgency involved! If possible, I would avoid buying from countries outside of where you live . For example, I once bought a product from China and the shipping took about two months. That was too long for me to wait, so I'd recommend avoiding unless it's something that you can't find anywhere else.

I've bought a wide variety of products on eBay, including electronics, designer clothing/bags/accessories (such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci), jewelry (love my watches), housewares, and many other things. A lot of sellers will even include free gifts with your purchase or offer discounts on bulk purchases if you're interested in that type of thing. Do note that you cannot use paypal to pay for items with an international seller since they don't accept eChecks.

SavingOn.com

SavingOn.com has a great search engine, so you can easily find items that are just minutes away from your house! All you need to do is type in your zipcode and you're good to go. I usually end up grabbing my favorite deals from their website because the prices this site has are unbeatable by any other online retailer (even Amazon!). It's important to note that some of these sellers offer free shipping which may not be available for all products, so be sure to check before you buy. If the item is sold out, saveforlater will still let you sign up for notification when they have more!

The top 12% of products on SavingOn.com are awarded the "SavingOn Approved" seal, which means that it's a quality product and also has a coupon available for you (the public) to use. It's great if you're planning on buying items for friends or family as the savings will add up!

Here's some useful information from SavingOn.com about how to find the best deals:

You can search for what you want by typing in keywords like 'digital camera' or 'Jewelry,' but shopping is so much easier when you search using your zip code. Type in your zip code and "savedeals" into the search bar, press ENTER and you'll get a list of all of the latest deals in your area. The search shows all the products that are in stock and have recently sold, and also includes the prices and returns.

Dahm Wines

Dahm Wines is a site that offers the absolute best deals (to my knowledge) on wine, beer, spirits and more. They even offer shipping on purchases over $49! Their site is pretty simple to navigate as well, so if you're searching for some last minute gifts there's no need to spend countless hours looking for deals.

To sign up for an account, simply enter your email address at their website. From there you can create your profile by adding personal details about your tastes and interests. I highly suggest adding your favorite wine, beer, or spirits brands as well so that you're always in the know as to what they will have coming in soon.

The site also has a "badass" link on the home page which will allow you to see all of their latest deals (and win some free gifts if you participate). So let's get this stuff started!

The 10% of items in their stores with the "Dahm Wines Approved" tag are ones that won't disappoint. They have great products for people who don't care about flashy packaging or anything like that, and instead just want a tasty beverage at a great price.

Be sure to browse their store locator here to find the best deals near you!

Dell Business Credit Card

Dell Business Credit Card offers some great bonuses that can help you save up to $100 on purchases from Dell.com. You'll receive 6% off your purchase when paying with the card in addition to a free standard ground shipping and returns on all your purchases from Dell. They also offer a pretty good airline rewards program as well, but I'm not too familiar with it. If you're interested, check out this link for more info.

Dell Small Business offers great deals on trusted brands such as Sony, Brother and Epson. My favorite feature of the Dell site is that it has a lot of different products that you don't see elsewhere. For example, I purchased a Sonos Playbar on Dell.com for only $349 (MSRP ~$599).

Poshmark

I've talked about Poshmark in a previous post but it's definitely worth mentioning again! This site is AWESOME if you're looking for designer clothes/shoes/bags at a bargain price.

Conclusion

If you have additional suggestions on where to buy quality goods at great prices, I'd love to hear them! Leave a comment below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. I hope that this list will help you find great deals on products that you've been wanting to buy!
