Dining In Pattaya Thailand
I always found the food in Pattaya to be absolutely amazing. There are so many great places to eat out at that you can afford to go all day without stopping. I usually stick with my usual go-to, Yum Burger, but here are some of my other favorite places to eat and things you should try when visiting this city in Thailand.
If you love Thai food like me then you'll enjoy the authentic taste of these foods, as well as their abundance for all your needs. For instance, if it's a hot day outside then one of the coolest ways would be by eating ice cream from any one of the numerous vendors around town.
One of the greatest things about Pattaya is that everything is so cheap. I mean you can dine for $2 USD (that's about 50 cents and change)! The prices are even better if you find a restaurant that offers local dishes to try, like off the street stalls or other eats.
One of my personal favorite restaurants has to be Sea-Dog Seafood, which has many locations in Pattaya. It's not a fancy place but I think it's the best priced restaurant I've ever been to.
They have all you can eat for about $4 USD. Let me repeat that: it's all you can eat and it only costs $4 USD. This place is high-quality and delicious considering the price. Pattaya is a great place to travel if you're on a budget or want to save up in order to do other things while there.
If you're feeling like fish, then by all means try out one of the many seafood restaurants around town. Some of them are right on the water, which is one of the best ways to enjoy your meal. There are also some Japanese restaurants which are very good but tend to be expensive versus Thai food.
If you're looking for something exotic, I'd highly recommend trying out one of the many Indian restaurants located on soi 6. The meals are very inexpensive and delicious. They also have great lunch specials.
There are numerous noodle shops around town that are great for a quick bite anytime; some of them will even serve soup depending on the time of day.
After a long day of sightseeing, you'll need to refuel. Here are some places I could highly recommend:
Coffee: - Many people know about the coffee shops found on soi 6, but I'd also recommend the coffee shop found on soi 19. You can get both Thai kaffee and American coffee for about $0.50 CDN. They have various locations around town that serve different types of food - you might even find a location near your hotel.

Ice Cream: - There is an abundance of ice cream for sale on the beach and in town. Some places will specialize in certain flavors, too. The prices range from $0.50 to $1 USD depending on where you go, but there are also specialty ice cream shops that are more expensive but worth every penny.

Ice Cream Man: - This is the official ice cream man of Pattaya and you can find him standing in front of the beach. He's a very unique character and he'll even sell you a souvenir to remember your visit from his cart at the beach.

Milk: - You can get milk and all kinds of other drinks from the milkman who drives around town in his van. He'll come right up to your hotel room or stand right in front of it and sell you milk, coffee, soda, etc. It's definitely a fun experience and the prices are great!

Ice: - There are numerous ice vendors located everywhere on the streets of Pattaya. You can get all different kinds of ice, ranging from water to fruit to chocolate. Some of them have a small selection and others have a large selection like the ones found in the shopping areas. Some even sell fireworks that you can take home with you.

Food Stalls: - Another way for visitors to eat well is by getting food from food carts or road stalls. They'll set up their stalls in any areas of town, including in the beach and on soi 6. I've been to a lot of these places and they are all very cheap and delicious.

Just about every restaurant in Thailand has a similar menu with different variations, but you can try out any one of these restaurants without breaking your pocketbook. I guarantee that you will pay more for lunch than you would for a comparable amount of food in Canada or the United States.
These are the most popular ways to eat out, but there are also many other things to do in Pattaya:
McDonald's: - Believe it or not, McDonald's isn't everywhere in Pattaya. You won't find one on two or three, but on four and five there is one. It's located right next to the Sea-Dog Seafood Restaurant. It has a large difference between its prices and local restaurants, so be prepared to pay more than you think (in fact, expect to pay at least 50% more).
Conclusion
While Pattaya is a very fun place to visit, it is not the best place to live. There are many things you can do in Pattaya that will make your stay more enjoyable, but be aware of the bad things that might happen. Also, remember that there are many places around the world where you should choose to vacation instead of living there.
For example, just because a city has beaches doesn't mean it's a nice place to live. Be careful and consider the following:
Crime: - I've seen everything from muggings to robbery (some even shooting out of nowhere). Do not walk around or go out late at night alone (only women should be alone).
