 Daily Chores Win More Business

If you have a business, there are daily chores that need to get done. You can start with these three tasks:

1) Answer the phone by calling people back or talking them through an issue,
2) handle client's paperwork and correspondence, and
3) answer the door when someone comes to talk to you.

These little tasks will build your credibility as a small business owner who cares about their clients and shows up for work on time every day. These tasks are one of the most important things you can do for your business in general. You don't have to be out at the store, or doing your creative activity to get your business going!

Making sure you're doing these three things properly will help you build a reliable business and can be an anchor for all the ideas that you might have. Trust me, if you are running a small business, there will be days when it is clobbering you over the head and there isn't any time to do anything but attend to basic needs like answering phones, taking care of paperwork and shop-walkers.

It's easy to get discouraged. It's easy to feel like you're not creative enough or that you don't have enough time. It's easy to feel like you should be making more progress than you are or want to be! But daily chores need to get done.

The only way to make a business work is to do everything that needs to get done each day. The best way to get your business started and keep it going is by getting the most basic daily chores out of the way so that you have time and energy left over for your bigger ideas and tasks.

That's where hope comes in. Hope is the thing that gets us through this time until something better comes along. We need to be working for ourselves and insuring that these basic tasks get done, even if there is no future in it. It's important to always have hope for your future. It's important to keep chipping away at the small things each day and hope that when you're 65 years old, you'll have a solid set of working skills and experience under your belt.

Make sure that when a client comes in, they are greeted warmly. Make sure they are shown the products you have to offer and make sure they know that you are interested in helping them. Don't talk about yourself too much, ask questions about them. Make them feel like a valuable person and someone you want to do business with. Make sure when the client is ready to leave, they have someone who will be there for them and who cares enough to follow up on their needs.

When a prospective client calls, make sure you get back to them right away or that you call them back. Don't have them wait around or sit there until they get desperate and call you again. Answer their questions and then let them know if you are interested in working with them or they should go to another office. If they're not interested, tell them that you don't have time to take on new clients at this time, but that if they think about it and the situation changes, then you'd be interested again.

Don't wait for someone to come in the store and do all your work for you! All jobs need to get done. There is too much talk about being a visionary and not enough talk about getting the ironing done. There are too many people who want to be famous without taking the time to get their daily chores done.

If you can't get it done by yourself, try outsourcing it or hire someone to help you. Don't just put things off because there is an important idea out there that needs your attention! Your business will never grow if you don't pay attention to these details.

It's important to take care of yourself and do your daily chores. It doesn't matter if you are a business owner, an employee or someone who is trying to get a job. These three tasks are important for any job and will give you the credibility and trust that clients need when they deal with you or your business.

Make sure you have someone who handles those tasks on a regular basis. Remember, you can't always be there. Make sure that you are setting yourself up for success by doing these chores every single day. These tasks will make a big difference in your work and your life.
