Getting Word of Mouth Started: New Book PR Method
Hey there! Have you ever wondered how new books get their start in the world? What with all the competition and marketing, it can seem like a pretty daunting task, but in fact, getting word of mouth started is easier than you might think.
I've written a book about the subject, called Word of Mouth Marketing for Authors and Publishers . You'll learn how to get word of mouth started in the most pro-active, surprising way possible: you can use it for marketing any product you want.
You've probably heard the adage that it takes 7 seconds for someone to make a decision about a product and form an opinion--that's true, but it's also true that that person hasn't yet formed an opinion. In fact, they're still sifting through information and making up their mind as they go along. In other words, you can dramatically change that 7-second figure by altering the information presented. You might even be able to make people want to read your book or buy your product after 7 seconds.
Word of mouth marketing teaches you how to change those first 7 seconds in such a way that you get the sale, instead of the sale going to someone else. Using this method, it's not an objective fact that 7 seconds is needed for someone to have made a purchase decision; rather, it's a decision they make during those first 7 seconds.
But wait! There's more! I've been writing blog posts at TheDichotomy.com recently, and you might find them helpful in understanding this book. I've used this method as a blog post more than once when I had to come up with some kind of content on short notice, and it's pretty powerful. I don't think you'll find many people talking about it online, especially not in such a detailed way.
Here are a couple of posts that might give you extra insight:

Here are the details about my book . It's informative and practical, but also easy to read.
If you're going to be in Tucson in July, I'll be at the Writers World Congress event, talking about this book and other parts of my writing career. I also will have copies of both print and e-versions available, so if you have any interest at all in learning more about it, please drop by!
Cheers!

Word of Mouth Marketing for Authors and Publishers is a book for authors, publishers, and anyone else who wants to make more money through their message. It is about how you can get your message out there to potential customers before they have any interest in it, so that when you do reach them, they will listen to what you have to say.
Word of Mouth Marketing for Authors and Publishers teaches many methods that are CRAZY effective--it's not just a book about the marketing things you already know. It teaches a method that can be used to market anything you have to offer.
Each copy of Word of Mouth Marketing for Authors and Publishers comes with a video course. This video series is worth over $100, and it teaches the core concept in much more detail than is possible in the book alone.
Word of Mouth Marketing for Authors and Publishers is about how you can use your message to do what no other marketing can do--get people interested in your product before they've even heard about it. It shows you how to start conversations online and offline as people are making up their mind, so they're receptive when they find out what you have to say. It teaches you how to get people's attention with your message, and that means it is effective for everything from books to online courses to artwork.
Word of Mouth Marketing for Authors and Publishers is a result of years of careful study, research, and experimentation. It has taken me years to achieve the level of understanding I have today, and I have distilled all that experience into this book.
I've given away hundreds of copies of Word of Mouth Marketing for Authors and Publishers without making a penny in profit. I hope it is clear by now that this book will be worth far more than the cost you pay for it; you'll have a go-to resource that will make you money right away.
If you get a copy of Word of Mouth Marketing for Authors and Publishers , have any questions, or would like to see a free video course I'm giving away, please leave me a comment below. I answer all questions publicly.

A sales page is often the first step to selling an ebook (or anything else for that matter). So you've decided that your next book is going to be a Kindle edition. You'd like to know what people think of ebooks on Kindle before you take the plunge and make the investment. I was in a similar situation just this morning; I needed to know if there was any interest in my book.
Conclusion: The Kindle edition isn't going to be a big moneymaker for me. My book is about productivity; it's for self-employed people, and my potential market isn't likely to be interested in buying an ebook that costs $2.99 or more.
However, if you're making multiples of that per sale, the ebook might be a good idea. If you have a book where the price is $10 or more, and your book is suitable for reading on an ebook device, there's no question--go ahead and make your book available in both formats.
