Well, I'm really sorry that the excitement is so short lived. There's nothing going on here at the moment because I just don't think of enough things to write about. I mean, come on... this is a blog that is completely free to read and I'm going to spend energy on writing here? What a waste of my time. Not going to happen.
In the meantime... I'll leave you with this thought:
I'm happier now than I've ever been before.
Thank you again for reading this blog! I hope that some of you found it interesting and inspiring! Cheers.

Hi there, readers! I have some exciting news for all of you—Elitingy will soon be expanding into Facebook and Twitter . While the Twitter and Facebook accounts still need some finishing touches, I wanted to announce that we will have pages on them so you can follow Elitingy on these platforms. We are expecting to launch the Facebook page in the near future, while the Twitter account will be initially public but will later enable us to provide you with a private twitter feed.

Hello Everyone!
My name is Michael Whalen, I am a Freelance Blogger and Life Learner from New York City.
The following is an interview that I recently did with another blogger.
She is Caitlin of Gratisography , an innovative and inspiring blog that features one gratis photography image each day.
It's right up my alley... so I decided to sit down and ask her some questions!
Check out her answers below:
Hello, Caitlin, thanks for sharing your time with us today. I'd like to start this off with a question about how you got into blogging. What was the first blog post you ever wrote?
In early 2003, I was in a photography class at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design . Our professor gave us free rein to do whatever we wanted. I decided to write a weekly blog about what I was learning, which at the time was how to take black and white photographs with an old film camera.
The blog was called "Black & White", and it ran for 15 months on a server that was hosted by the college.
What's the blogging environment like in your city? Is there a lot of blogger traffic in Minneapolis?
I'm often asked about Minneapolis, if there's a lot of blogging going on here.
In terms of population, our city is actually the 16th largest in America (you'd think it would be much more crowded). And there are a few other blogs written by local people.
I know there are a bunch of artists, chefs and musicians here, but much of the social media attention is given over to news outlets and tech companies. The blogging community is pretty tight knit though, and if someone is really active online they can certainly get a lot of attention.
In terms of traffic for Gratisography , it's been steadily increasing over the past year. I've had some posts that have gotten more than 10k in views (which is pretty crazy to me). What was your first post about?
It was called "What I Know About Photography". It was mostly photos with small captions I had written on my digital camera while I was playing around with the different settings on it. Gratisography came later. I had a different post called "Free Photographs" that I thought was pretty popular (it got around 7k views). It was just a collection of photos with no real context or narrative. I think my photography blog took off from there.
I saw on your blog that you take photography yourself, are you a professional?
I'm not a professional. I just started learning how to use my camera better this past year. I mostly do things like portraits of my friends, family or close acquaintances. I'm pretty interested in street photography. I recently bought a laptop and got a small tripod so that I can take "selfies" from different angles, but then use those photos to create more interesting photos by placing them into other settings. So yeah, I guess you could say that photography is slowly becoming a bigger part of my life...
What's your favorite thing about blogging? What do you love most about writing? And what types of things are you currently working on for Gratisography ?
Blogging is an outlet for me to write about whatever I want, and then share it with people in the world who might not know me otherwise.
For Gratisography , I've always wanted to write something interesting and meaningful that no one else had done before. I want to inspire people with my work, and I want them to see themselves in it.
How do you decide what posts go up on your blog? For instance, is this a case where you come across an idea and say "this is worth sharing" or is there a more strategic approach?
I started on a weekly schedule (every other Saturday) but then found that people were getting bored by the same format. So instead of writing every week, I began uploading photos every week cycle.
Conclusion
Thank you, Caitlin! I really appreciate the time you took to answer my questions. I hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I did.
