I just recently started playing DnD 3.5E and I think it's great. The problem is this: I have a hard time imagining what races the players should have.
Here's a character sheet I made on the fly and I was wondering what people would think of it.
Half-Orc and Human or Half-Elf and Human.
The reason I ask is that I came across the idea of a Vampire that drinks the blood of a human.
I thought it would be cool if there was something other than Vampire, Were-animal or some kind of humanoid race that could turn into a Vampire.
Character Sheet
Dark Elves: On their own, the Dark Elves are a fierce race. They make up the bulk of the army of the Queen's army. They have incredible magical abilities and seek to conquer the world. But they are also very prideful and arrogant and hold themselves above even other dark elf races.
Black Orc Warrior: These ugly monsters make up a large part from the Queen's army. They have magical abilities that can help them in battle but unlike their allies, they believe in fighting for themselves and for no other reason than for pride. They love nothing more than war and fighting.
Black Orc Shaman: The Black Orcs are a race of creatures that were created to help the Queen conquer the world. Their last objective before they are sent off to fight is to become one with their lord and master, the Queen. They are now used as servants or as guards where they are standing by their leaders at all times.
Thri-Kreen Druid: Thri-Kreen society has always been based on knowledge, but unlike other races, they have very little in the way of magical abilities or other such things. They can manipulate magic items however and are highly sought after by mages for their knowledge of magic items.
Thri-Kreen Monk: The Thri-Kreen monks are a race of very spiritual creatures. They believe in the power of magic and the Gods, but they do not seek to anger anyone. They spend a lot of time meditating and looking after their own kind. They are very passive compared to other races, but they are fierce warriors when they need to be.
Halfling Rogue: As with the Dark Elves, most Halflings choose to join the army of the Queen out of fear for what will happen if they don't. But like the Thri-Kreen Monks, there are a few that choose to become rogues for other reasons entirely.
Thri-Kreen Cleric: Like the Thri-Kreen Monks, the Thri-Kreen Clerics are a secretive group that is not open to non-members of their kind. They do not seek out the knowledge of magic items, but they do however seek out ancient things and artifacts. They are a very pacifistic and peaceful people who practice meditation and meditation unlike any other race.
Halfling Warlock: What if Halflings were turned into warlocks? The result is for me would be a race that would use magic in both fighting and creating but also one that would be extremely happy despite having no reason to be happy.
Conclusion: If you are running a DnD campaign about a quest where the party needs to find some magic item, it might not be bad to have either a Thri-Kreen Druid or Thri-Kreen Cleric along. If you need someone who is trying to collect/destroy things that hold power, then maybe adding
A character sheet for DnD 3rd edition. A lot of the races are from your typical fantasy society, but some are a little out there. The Dark Elves and Thri-Kreen might be good additions to any game you're playing.
Another Character Sheet for DnD 3rd edition?
1) Half-Elf and Human or Half-Orc and Human; 2) Thri-Kreen Druid or Black Orc Shaman; 3) Black Orc Warrior, Monk, Champion (can I just put an archetype in here instead of having a specific race?); 4) Your idea is cool! Please share it with us in the comments below.

I recently did a bit of reading into the Dark Elves of D&D. I'd been hearing about them for a while, but I thought the idea of a race without magic and vanity was kind of interesting. This is a fiction website and so I decided to write some fiction with the Dark Elves.
The Dark Elves are a race that was created specifically with this purpose in mind: To conquer the world and rule over all other races. Unlike their cousins, they don't use magical powers to fight or gain power, but instead use their physical strength to overcome all opposition.
I also noticed that they have no symbols or words to define their own kind. They have no religion or gods; they worship no one but themselves and each other. They have no restrictions and hold no moral code. They simply do whatever they want to and whenever they want to. They believe that the world should be theirs and theirs only for the sole purpose of being ruled by them.
My first question was: Why did they decide to create Dark Elves? That's an easy one, because they needed an army with more physical prowess than magical prowess. I then had another question; Why would anyone ever join these people? This isn't as easy, but I'm going to go ahead and say it anyway: Fear. Fear of what will happen if you don't follow the Dark Elves or fear that someone else will join them if you refuse them (because I'm sure there are plenty of people who would).
I have a feeling this is going to be a very interesting story to tell. I just hope that I can do the Dark Elves justice. [ARTICLE BEGIN]
The Dark Elves are not a kind race, they are vicious and cruel people who only wish to cause pain and suffering in the name of the Queen, their creator. They do not care for their own kind, only for their queen and their rightful place on top of the world. They are ruthless people who will kill if they need to and destroy if they want to. For them, there is no life outside of serving the Queen.
The Dark Elves were created by an unnamed creator who was once a deity that made its home on Earth long ago. Before the existence of mankind and the creation of other races, there was only one race: Elves. Elves were beings of an ancient species that had lifespans that rivaled even the oldest trees. They were powerful creatures that had strength and magic far beyond any other race on Earth. Earth at this time was a different place, with rivers of lava flowing throughout the land, storms worse than any hurricane or tornado; in short, it was a hellish place to live. The Elven people were content here, if not happy to be living in such conditions.
The Elven race began creating their own kind to keep the species alive and prosperous. The Elves did this by creating a race of shorter, weaker beings known as the Halflings. The Halflings were created to be servants and food for their kind. The people did not mind this, as they saw the Halflings as inferior beings that made them stronger. However, the first Queen had other thoughts about this arrangement. She did not want her people to live without love and without happiness. So she created another race out of one of her lesser subjects; a half-elf. This was done not in order to live with more of her kind, but because she felt it was unfair for them to be forced into hard labor when there were other races who did not want for anything but were grateful for being alive.
The Half-Elf was created in such a way that it would eventually become the dominant race within their own kind. For this reason, the Queen named her race "Dark Elves" for their light-colored skin, which gleamed in the desert sun like the world had turned black.
The Dark Elves worshiped their creator and raised them to be the leaders of their race. However, they felt that too much power was corrupting them at this time and decided to split them into two groups: One group became more powerful while the other became weaker. The more powerful group later became known as "Dark Elves" and were given orders to destroy all others who would not serve them as they did before. The Dark Elves they called their "Queen and Champions" (as she was now the rightful ruler of the race).
The "Queen and Champions" were given such powers that nothing could stop them from being the rulers of the land. However, they were also given orders to kill all other races, which they quickly began doing. They killed all of the Halflings as well as any creatures who opposed them until no one was left.
The Dark Elves quickly took over their new world and created a place for themselves on top of it. Built into the mountain sides of this new continent were giant cities made out of stone that were glistening like jewels in the moonlight, reflecting their light to all corners of their kingdom.
In the center of this new world, a great city was built where the royal palace stood tall, reaching for the sky. The capital of the Dark Elves was called "Vault of Eternal Night" (or "Vault of Eternal Darkness" in their language).
The Dark Elves quickly became corrupt and arrogant. They were more accustomed to serving others than taking control like they did now. Without anyone to serve them, they began to blame those around them for their past actions. Within their new world, there were a lot of people who did not want to be part of the Queen's empire or what it has become. These people were hated by the Dark Elves, who believed that they should be destroyed.
The Queen and her followers had raised their people to believe that they were the only race of beings on Earth and anything else was inferior. While most Humans lived in small villages, some lived together in larger communities. These settlements were called "Small Kingdoms" (or "Small Kingdoms" in their language). They had no king or queen to rule over them, but instead simply voted for a leader who would protect them and lead them against their enemies. The leaders of these villages were known as "Lords." A Lord would also have Enforcers to help him/her fight off any attacks from enemies or even other villages who did not agree with their ways.
Conclusion: I really really enjoyed writing this. The idea of the Dark Elves was just so cool and I had a lot of fun with it, especially since I wrote it while listening to The Clash. There are still a lot of ways that this could be tweaked or improved, but I'm very pleased with the story. It kind of reminds me of the Dark Elves from "Game Of Thrones." Anyway, thanks for reading! Thanks for reading! This was my first ever published piece on Fanfiction and it was a lot more fun than writing on Reddit or chatting about in Discord! I'm glad that people liked it as well and if you are interested in seeing more from me, here's my user page.a Halfling Warlock and Black Orc Cleric would be better. And finally, if you're looking for some bad ass fighters then add some Black Orc Fighters.
