If you are thinking about buying a used car or auto, it is important to check for any damage that may have occurred. There are many ways for potential buyers to find out about cars in good condition like reading reviews on an online dating website, and even researching the history of the vehicle. Another way to find out the true condition of a car is by checking with your local police station who will be able to give you information on any accidents involving the vehicle. Another option is by attending auctions where use cars come up for sale frequently.

Another option is by attending auctions where use cars come up for sale frequently. For example, if you want to sell a car, you should contact your local police station that will be able to tell you about any accidents with the vehicle. You also have access to an online site that makes it easy for you to search for used cars. In addition, if you do not know the exact location of the car an auction is held, simply check the local newspaper where advertisements are often placed. You can then search through the vehicles online and contact its owner directly through the portal.

You can also use advertisements on a website like AutoTrader.com where auctions of used cars and automobiles are advertised frequently. Another great option is to attend auctions that are scattered across your state where cars and vehicles are often sold.

1.        The car was already working perfectly fine when it was stolen by the thieves ... accept for having a dead battery, which was easily fixable.
2.        I didn't notice anything wrong with the car until after he told me about the dead battery, asking about it later on I found a black spot on my carpeted floorboard (I have Mitsubishi eclipse) near the driver's side wheel well, about the size of a nickel... maybe even smaller.
3.        That's the thing, I only have one black spot on the bottom, yet this would be all over my carpet ... next to the driver's side wheel well ... near the rubber matting that has a black steel ring around it.
4.        I don't know why he didn't mention anything like that before, or at all while I was there.
5.        When he went to tell me it had a dead battery (which he did lightly) I noticed that there was another spot in front of my car tire by the front tire... I have the front tire pretty close to the edge of the carpet and it's close near my gas pedal.
6.        I don't know how he could have not seen this, it's only a spot ... and why not mention it?
7.        I check my tires weekly... more so every other day in case there is a nail or something on it.
8.        The black spots were small, I had to really search for them but they were there ... one on the driver's side and one on the passenger side (IOW: one in front of each tire) ... by some rubber that is close to the seat cushions (carpeted floorboard).
9.        I checked my vehicle once more after I found out about the dead battery and sure enough there was another spot on the passenger side (but it wasn't big, so it wasn't as noticeable.)
10.        I understand that accidents happen, but this makes no sense ... how could he not know about these black spots?
11.        The spots were small, so any car with large tires would be equally small because of the size of the tire and not notice them... sure could be your imagination... but no ... he said the reason for taking it out was to replace these spots.
12.        I just can't help thinking that I'm being scammed ... there's no way that this is right, especially if he's taking his own car out to fix my car and NOT telling me about it.
13.        I even asked him how he didn't notice them... like how did he not see them while up on the lift with the back of his truck?
14.        He told me they were very small... they are so small that you can barely see them (they were in an area where there was a lot of carpeting) ... and that he didn't even see them until he was up on the lift.
15.        I asked him how he could miss them completely AND it had to be his tires that drove over them when they were laying in the street ... his answer was that he didn't know and he said something like ... "well, if they were there before then I'm sure it was my tires that drove on them..."
16.        He said that these spots represent some kind of leak in the tire or rim ... usually a tear ... but seeing as I've put only 6,000 miles on these tires, there is no way that any spot is caused by wear and tear.
17.        There is also no way that one would appear on the passenger side AND NOT be noticed on the driver's side.
18.        So, I asked him to take me to the tire repair place and show me the spots so that I could make sure it was not a leak in the rim or tire... I pointed out where they were on my carpeted floorboard and he told me that they were still there when he went back home... one spot was seen at both cars which were parked at his house, and then one of them got hit by a car while parked.
19.        That's when he explained to me how it happened ... about what happened ... and the reasoning for taking my car for a second opinion.
20.        He said that these spots are not like what he normally deals with ... he said that this is because my car is new... and that most vehicles aren't as new anymore.
21.        I asked him if it was possible to get these spots when someone drives over a nail in the street before they even have time to know they've hit something ... and thinking on that, I asked him how they got there when there was no way they could have been caused by nails? ... and yet, there were nails ... right where those black spots were located on the carpet... so where did those holes come from?
22.

Conclusion:

I'm not sure what to do about this... I called the police and they were very professional and helpful, trying to figure out how to proceed on my case. But I'm not sure how it will turn out ... so that's why i posted this here.
The dealership is denying taking responsibility for the damage ... which is understandable because they are in the wrong from the get go once they took my car without my permission under false pretenses that was never disclosed. They did eventually agree (after some convincing) to give me 80% of what I would have gotten if I hadn't bought a new car from them (along with a fixing of minor things that were supposed to be fixed before I bought it) ...
