A Preschool Children's Fitness Business Helps Kids Get in Shape

Research has shown that exercise during early childhood has a positive impact on school readiness, social skills, and development. But most parents have so much going on that they don't always have time to make their children exercise or are worried about the physical toll it takes on them. A preschool children's fitness business helps kids get in shape by setting up a convenient schedule with teachers who can help with discipline and safety issues related to kids getting fit.

Many preschools across the country use Preschoolfit for their wellness programs because of its unique approach to fitness for young students.

"Preschoolfit allows us to take the stress away from parents while also giving teachers and children opportunities that they've never had before." said Amanda Faulkenberry, executive director of Curriculum, Programs & Services at Big Bear Preschool. "The kids just love coming to classes and really flourish under the structured exercise class structure. It's been a huge success for us."

Preschoolfit has programs for preschoolers including an hour-long class, a half hour class, and special activities tailored to preschoolers' interests like arts and crafts or educational games. The cost is $15 per child per week.

Preschoolfit uses techniques that are fun and educational. By integrating activities into the program that connect to the kindergarten curriculum, teachers can help kids to learn in a way that reinforces reading, writing, and math skills.

"You have to have an educational foundation for everything you do," says Dr. Brenda Holbrook, founder of Preschoolfit. "I try to find educational tools that help students learn while they exercise."

Preschoolfit places a strong emphasis on safety as well as skill building exercises designed especially for preschoolers' developmental stage. The flexibility of the program allows teachers to personalize each class to make sure each child is getting what they need at their own pace.

"This is a great way for the kids to have fun and be active, but it's also safe," says Dr. Holbrook. "A lot of other programs out there don't allow teachers to have that flexibility."

Preschoolfit also helps parents communicate better with their preschoolers as they are participating in activities together. This is an important step toward parenting that allows kids to feel like they have a voice and have an opportunity to help make decisions.

"We try to make it so the parent doesn't always have to be present," says Dr. Holbrook. "This gives parents a chance to make better connections with the children and have a greater sense of participation in their child's life."

Conclusion

I am very happy to find a program like Preschoolfit that allows me to have a more flexible environment to work within. I have been able to incorporate many of their exercises into my curriculum and it has allowed me the opportunity to create a program that is truly personalized for the age of the children and their learning styles.
