Using The Law Of Attraction To Manifest Your Desires

I remember the days when I used to draw a picture of what I wanted in my life, and send it off into space for good luck... but you know what? It never worked. If you're looking for that one magical formula that will get your dreams to come true, then this isn't the article for you. The Law Of Attraction is not a pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking practice that will make your dreams come true overnight. However, if you follow through on any part of the process, there's no reason why your desires shouldn't manifest over time. The Law Of Attraction works.

In this article, I'm going to take you through the steps to using this law in your life. We'll start by looking at some of the things that are contained in the law itself:
NOTE: Everything written below is based on my own opinion and is a result of my own observation. The Law Of Attraction is not a magic wand that will wave your fears away and make everything work out for you without any effort on your part whatsoever.
When we talk about manifesting our desires, we are talking about something that requires some level of thought, preparation, and action on our part. That action often involves some level of willpower and intention. When you think about manifesting something, there's a part of your brain that says "This is too hard. I wish I didn't have to do this." And then there's another part of your brain that says "No, this is what we're supposed to be doing. We can do this."
1)Intention
"But now", I hear some of you saying, "I don't like the feeling that I'm taking action. If my life were already manifest as soon as I said 'I want it' then why would I even need to take action?" It's like asking someone who wants to quit smoking whether or not they want a cigarette. If they don't want one, then they don't want one.
However, we're not simply choosing how hard we're going to try and make something happen. Instead, we're choosing the way that we're going to try and make something happen. That's a big distinction. If you want to try and make your dreams a reality but you refuse to take any thought or action in that direction because it feels like it might be too much work, guess what? It will be too much work. The Law of Attraction does not give you anything for free. There is no such thing as a free lunch; there is only hard work for free .
The Law of Attraction works by encouraging you to "make yourself a priority." That is, act in a way that focuses on what you want and not on what you don't have. From there, it will begin to allow your thoughts and actions to align with what you want.
If you think about the people who are most successful at manifesting their desires, they tend toward the positive. They dedicate time and energy into taking care of their own needs and their own happiness - often foregoing material possessions or urgent duties in order to do so. In turn, they attract people who mirror those same positive qualities. These people reflect back to them the things that they want in their lives.
The Law of Attraction is like an instruction manual for the universe. If you want to manifest your desires, you have to write the manual yourself - and you have to follow all of the laws in it.
2) Visualization
When I ask successful manifestors how they go about manifesting what they want, a large majority of them tell me that they visualize what they're trying to get and then "feel" or "experience" themselves as if they already have it. This is a helpful exercise, but it's not the only way to manifest. In fact, the main way manifestors manifest what they want is through the power of the imagination .
Your imagination does work; you don't have to believe me. Just ask filmmakers and artists who were able to make movies and paintings that were greater than anything they imagined before. Who knew that Star Wars would become such an influential film? Who could've predicted that Iron Man could raise a billion dollars in financing? Or that Red Riding Hood would become a hit musical? Or that The Lord of the Rings film trilogy would be so successful or inspiring? Visualization - even if you can't see it right now - is very important in manifesting your desires.
3) Belief
When you think of the word "belief," you may attribute it to religious faith or things that you've been taught. Perhaps it's something that people in your life have told you to believe in order to make yourself feel better. Or maybe it's some common fact that everyone agrees on - like everyone knows the earth is round, or everyone knows that a dog has four legs.
Lately, beliefs have taken on a whole new meaning with the advent of social media, reality TV shows, and search engine algorithms. Nowadays, belief can also be seen as personal preference . If you believe that the sky is blue, then it's blue. So if you want to believe that your desires can come true, you can make that happen.
I'll admit that this is a little harder to do than it seems. Still, you're reading this article because somewhere deep inside of yourself you have some inkling of an idea that this whole "manifesting" thing might be real. If you don't have belief in the power of your own thoughts and intentions, then how can you possibly expect them to become reality?
4) Action
If visualization and belief are more like gears in the machine, then action is the fuel . Without the fuel, the machine has no power and can't get you where you want to go.
Action is what propels everything forward. It's what allows your desires to become a reality. If you visualize your dreams but never take action toward them, then you are simply imagining them out of existence. As I've said before, there is no such thing as a free lunch; there is only hard work for free .
The Universe loves action because it moves things forward and gets results faster than just thinking or hoping will. Action , more than anything else, defines who we are . When you act like someone who already has what they want, then sooner or later it becomes something that can actually happen in real life.
When you take action on your desires, you are literally moving yourself down the path to what you want. You're making it easier for the Universe to work in your favor.
At this point, we've discussed three of the four core principles of manifesting: intention, visualization, and belief. The last one is action. Action is what gets things moving; it's what makes your hopes and dreams a reality. It's the fuel that powers all of your desires - without it, they can't get going and they will eventually fizzle out.
However, before we get into action itself, I'd like to call attention to something else...

Conclusion
If you want to manifest your desires, then you have to be willing to take action. This can sometimes feel scary and uncomfortable because it means that you are actually committing yourself to making things happen.
Why is this so scary?
Sometimes we worry that we won't be able to handle the results. What if something bad or unpleasant happens? What if, after all of our great effort, our dreams don't end up being what we want?
It's taken me a long time (and a lot of reading) to figure out what I need to do in order to make certain that I can handle the results - regardless of whether they're good or bad.
