So, what is the chakra? It's a spiritual energy system that stretches from the base of your spine to just below your naval. This energy system influences how you feel and how you act. More specifically, it affects your mental, emotional and physical states depending on which part of this spiritual energy system it reaches.

If you want to know more about this wheel-like spiritual energy system then read on! What I will be introducing in my article is a chakra meditation that can help open up this wheel while at the same time helping you find peace within yourself.

If you have tried doing chakra meditations before then you might be familiar with the different sounds that are associated with each chakra. If this is the case then try focusing solely on your breathing as opposed to the sounds. This will help you focus more on your mind, body and spirit.

The first sound in this meditation comes from the base chakra which sounds like: "Haaaaaaah." Next, we work our way up so that we reach the uppermost part of our spiritual energy system which is known as Sahasrara or crown chakra. It is from this point that we will start hearing "Oooooohhhh" sounds.

Do this meditation while lying down in a quiet and dark room where there's no sign of light. It might be best to either start your meditation at night especially if you're not a morning person or around sunset if you are one.

This chakra meditation lasts for about 25 minutes and is best done uninterrupted. I suggest doing this during a weekend where you don't have anything going on for the day. You can also do this on a day that you won't need your body or mind as you'll be sleeping.

What happened? Did the first sound bring you there, and the second sound was peaceful? This is the effect of what we are doing here. Katagisawakan – The chanting of sounds is a way to help increase our spiritual energy level. What can happen is that when we chant we can actually feel it vibrating through our body, head and heart. More specifically we can feel it in the base of our spine. The vibrations can start there and then radiate outwards until they hit our crown chakra. The top sound is powerful. We can feel it moving up to the top of our head and then slowly down finally reaching centre of our heart (between chest and belly).

This meditation is a great way to help open up your spiritual energy system and above all, it's a great way to relax yourself at the same time. If you do this meditation, let me know how it goes and how you feel afterwards. I'll be posting other types of spiritual energy meditations in the next few days. I also want to let everyone know that this is my last post for August. I will be heading back to work and so I won't have much time to post. Also, I need a break from writing as well while at the same time preparing myself for school and our new schedule next month.

Hi guys, I'm back! I missed you all. I'm so sorry for not posting anything in a while. Do note that this will be my last post for July and probably August as well as I will be heading back to work and starting school in September and so on. As such, this post is really just a simple update so that everyone knows what's going on with me.

I'd also like to thank all of you for visiting and for reading my blog. I've really enjoyed the time that I have spent here and seeing all of the comments that you guys have made about my blog post has been a great experience.
