Top 7 New Years Resolutions
Seeing as we're in the midst of a new year, now is the time to make resolutions. Here are seven based on real life experiences.
1. Get in shape- There's nothing more enjoyable than being healthy and feeling comfortable with your body! This can help you become less vulnerable to illnesses and even death if you are being active and staying fit!
2. Find true love- I know that seems totally unrealistic at this point in our lives, but you never know when the big one will come along!
3. Help someone- I'm not just talking about family or friends here; I'm talking about helping a complete stranger in need.
4. Be HONEST- Be honest with people and yourself. Honesty can be a powerful tool in finding your way to happiness and success.
5. Eat healthy- This may mean changing your favorite food to something less sugary or not so healthy, but it also means sticking to it whether that's possible or not...
6. Find meaning- Find the reason to why you do what you do and find your passion in life. Don't simply live for yourself!
7. Have FUN- This can mean a lot of different things, but most all of them involve having fun with family and friends or simply enjoying nature or laughing at something silly.
These are my goals for this year! Good luck to all and happy New Year!

I am so excited to join this challenge I have a great new years resolution... (1) Lose Weight (I lost about 15 pounds already) (2) Get Healthy! I'm not totally sure how I'm going to do that... I will probably have to join a gym because my self-control is lacking a lot lately... If anyone has any tips please share them with me! :) Happy New Year everyone! :) Reply Delete
Thanks for this blog post & sheet. I wonder, if I want to lose weight, should I just select the "lose weight" and "exercise more" from the list? (My current goal is to get more exercise.) Reply Delete
I'm going to try. It's all about sacrifice for me. I'm a smoker who is trying so hard to quit smoking & all it's doing is making me gain weight. I've lost 30 lbs already, but it's nothing to write home about. I'm still trying though. I like your sheet, too! Reply Delete
Thanks so much for sharing this and for participating in the challenge! :) I've never made any New Years resolutions! But this is a good one to use as a guideline--for me, at least! Reply Delete
I just started doing the challenge on Facebook and have managed to lose 10lbs so far and feel amazing! Try it!! Reply Delete
Thank you SO much!!! This worked out really well for me. Had it not been for the physical exercise and yoga included in the sheet, I would have never even known how to begin... I guess it's a lot easier to make a resolution when you know you really can do it and have the right tools. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next few weeks. Thank you again! After losing weight this summer (about 70 lbs) my goal was to lose another 70lbs by my wedding day. I did not make my goal by that point, so now my new new years resolution is to lose another 50lbs by December 31st of this year! I am on track and working out daily so I should be able to get there! What a great way of thinking of goals...I always think, "I want to lose weight". This makes sense that I should have a goal of "being healthy and fitting into smaller clothes" Reply Delete
I didn't do any of these goals because they're all things I'm doing already. I did add another goal as an "others" goal: Exercise & workout more. My husband and I got some new workout videos yesterday that we've been wanting for a year now but just hadn't gotten around to buying them. We're both really excited about getting in shape again! :) Reply Delete
I guess the real question for me is: How do you eat healthy? Put down something unhealthy on the sheet and then never eat it again? It's still in our house... Reply Delete
Which one is this? I keep getting that on my page. Thanks! Reply Delete
I'm going to be joining in with this challenge - I've been wanting to get back into shape and lose some weight, but you know how that goes. :) Thanks for sharing the blog post & sheet! Reply Delete
I'm glad I found this, too - was planning on making New Year's resolutions anyway and realized that a lot of them would be the same (like exercise more) or something totally vague (like be happy). New Year's resolutions seem to be something I fall back on, even after I have tried to make resolutions that are more specific or aren't goals at all. I'm going to try this out and see how it goes! I am so excited to join this challenge because it gives me an opportunity to plan my goals for the future. These goals give me some direction and inspiration for the new year! Reply Delete
This is a wonderful idea, thank you very much for sharing!! It's definitely something that I need in my life, too!!! Reply Delete
So far all of the reasons given are actually reasons why people fail at their New Year's Resolutions (e.g.
Conclusion:
People need to understand that resolution is a plan to make you happy. If it isn't, if you don't have that feeling of happiness associated with it, then its not a resolution, it's just some goal or target. Reply Delete
DAMN! You are so right. I feel like my goals for 2012 were all about what my husband and I wanted and not about what we needed. We did ok but as an individual I definitely failed.
