Tips for Mom Entrepreneurs: How to Stay Connected to Your Network
Starting your own business can be tough, but what’s harder is staying connected to the people you love after you become a mompreneur. Not only do you have to ensure that the little one is cared for and potentially cared for by someone else, but also that the house remains clean and in order. Most of us turn to Google for help with our businesses, but what about when it comes to parenting resources?
In this article you will find a list of my favorite parenting blogs and websites that can help mama entrepreneurs get back on their feet professionally while keeping up with their personal lives. These sites are packed with advice from moms who have been there before.
Parent Hacks – Parent Hacks is one of my favorite blogs to visit if I ever have a question about parenting. This blog was started by a mom who’s sole purpose was to come up with creative solutions for problems she was having with her own child. It’s now a site full of moms who want to share their experiences, struggles, and victories with other parents. There is always someone there you relate to and can relate their advice back to your own situation. I’ve stumbled upon this blog countless times when I’ve had questions about how to make my baby sleep or what to do when he won’t stop crying.
Parenting Squad – This blog is filled with the best of the best parenting advice from experts in the field. There is useful information for new moms, expecting mothers, and even parents of older children. I love that there are lots of articles and posts about maternity leave and how to care for your child as you transition back into your career. Although this site isn’t filled with many mompreneurs (yet), it’s filled with a ton of helpful tips regarding your family when you are running a business from home.
Shower Your Mom With Love – This blog is full of information on pregnancy, birth, babies, kids, and women’s health all in one. It’s a must read if you are trying to figure out the ins and outs of what it means to have a baby. There are lots of great tips for new moms and mamapreneurs. It’s filled with amazing posts from other mompreneurs who share their experiences and advice for fellow mamas in business.
Nashville Moms – This blog is about life, parenting, food, family, health, etc. The parent mompreneur in me loves that the site talks about how to take care of yourself so you can take care of your family and business. The best part about this blog is the community that bonds together and supports one another through everything. The advice covers everything from blogging and family life to business advice. This is a great site to follow if you are a new mompreneur who wants more guidance regarding your family’s life outside of parenting.
Your Little Momma – If you are looking for resources for dealing with night time breastfeeding, having a newborn, or dealing with your older child, then this is the blog for you. There are moms who have been there before and offer advice that can help you along the way. The goal behind this blog is to help other moms come up with their own solutions for the problems they are facing, as well as offer advice to those who may be in a similar situation.
Mommyish – This site is filled with real mom confessions that will keep you laughing throughout your day. There are funny and honest posts about what it means to be a mom, while also offering advice on how to deal with difficult situations from other mamas who have been there before. If you need a good laugh or feel like you’re losing your mind, then this blog is just for you.
