The Hidden Power of Networking

 The Hidden Power of Networking

Networking: The most overlooked strategy for career success. If a single life lesson could be learned from the 1990s, it would be this one simple idea. And yet, despite all the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, many people still believe that success is found in "hustling alone".

But what if there was a better way of living? What if instead of trying to do everything on your own you were able to tap into an entire network of people that are eager to help? A network where each person provides some form of value which in turn helps everyone else grow their own business?

This guide will show you how networking works, and how it can help you too.

Before we begin with the why's, I want to address the most important question of all.

If you are reading this article, what are you expecting to get out of it?
All of us have a different answer to this question, but in all cases, we're looking for answers that can help us achieve our dreams.  And while there are many details in here that will not work for everyone, and  some steps that may seem like they don't make sense at first, I strongly urge you to press through them because there is a method behind all of the madness here.  This is a guide that really works, but to get the most out of it you must be willing to take action.  You will not find any silver bullets here, and you'll need to do some work if you want your business to succeed.
Last year I released what I called the Ultimate Guide To Becoming A Travel Blogger where I shared everything that I learned about building a successful travel blog over the years.  That guide has been downloaded over 100,000 times in the past few months alone and has already helped countless people earn their freedom from the 9-5 grind.
Now today I'm going to teach you yet another important skill required for those looking for financial freedom:  The art of networking.
You may be asking yourself why you should trust me and my experience.
Well, the fact is that I have been blogging since 2005 -- and I have networked since that time as well.  I have met many amazing people along the way, and today they are some of my closest friends.  You'll see I mention a great deal of them throughout this article.
I also know how to scale your business because we're looking to achieve an income at least ten times larger than what we're doing now, so please don't take my word for it.  Take a look at some of my best-selling Udemy courses and you'll see what people are saying about them .
I'm also a great example of someone who followed the "hustle alone" strategy and failed miserably.  Back in 2007 I was building my own blog, and I had big dreams.  I took out debt, spent countless hours working on my own, and dreamed of one day quitting my job to work on my dream full time.
When I look back at that photo now it makes me laugh.  I can't even imagine what I was thinking, but when you're young you think you can just go do anything and everything will be fine.
But here's the thing about life:  It's a tough teacher that doesn't care about your dreams or ambitions.  You'll put your heart and soul into something, and it will beat you up, break your dreams and send you on your way.  There are no second chances.
As I mentioned earlier , I had big dreams -- and I failed at them spectacularly.  I had to take a look at my life and see what was wrong with me before I could move forward.
The first thing that stood out was that I suffered from a serious mental condition known as ADD.  This is a syndrome characterized by difficulty with paying attention (impulsivity), excessive activity (hyperactivity) in the short term, as well as difficulty organizing tasks (inattention).
But then there was another very obvious problem:  I was completely selfish and narcissistic.  My entire life had been about me and my own well being, and I had never once asked for help. Nobody ever helped me, so why should I help others?
For this reason, I tried to do everything on my own, failing every single time. This is the exact opposite of how successful people function -- and for that reason alone I knew it would not work for me.  The second thing I realized is that working alone was a complete waste of time because nobody was going to help me change my life.  I couldn't do it unilaterally -- I had to do it with the help of others.
Then I realized something else:  If you want to be successful you're going to have to seek out people who can help you every step of the way. This is also something we teach in my Udemy course, so if this sounds like something that would interest you then go ahead and check it out .
So here's my take on networking:  Here's how I view it. There is a path to your dreams, and that involves you working with other people to achieve them.
No matter how much success you have or how much money you make in life, without the help of other people -- you will NOT get there.
This is why I'll never forget the importance of networking:  Because it has taught me all of these lessons, and so much more.
It's time for us to begin...
To be successful in any network, there are certain things that must be considered.  You don't just jump online and start spamming people with junk mail in hopes that something works out.  That's not how anything in life works -- including a social network.
To be successful you have to have a plan and a strategy -- and when it comes to networking, you need to be very specific.
There is a proper way to network, and the fact is that if you don't do it the right way from the beginning, you're going to fail.
In this guide I want to introduce you to social networks in general, but more importantly I want to make sure that we stay focused on the things that really matter.  Social networking can look scary at first glance, but in reality it's actually very simple if we break it down.
Networking works because there's something called synergy.  Synergy is defined as an effect that is greater than the sum of its parts.
The reason networking works is because we bring in individuals who can help us achieve our dreams, and in return we try and help them achieve their dreams.
If you're looking to build a sustainable income online -- then you have to have other people involved in your success.  I know it may sound crazy, but that's the way it works.

Conclusion

So today I've shown you how to use social media to your benefit.  If you put in the time, effort and energy that is required, then you can get a lot of people on board with your cause.
I hope you're excited about this post because I know  that it's going to help a lot of people out there.  Because of the fact that so many people have benefited from my own experiences, I want to make sure that this guide is available for them to use and learn from as well.
Now before we go I have one final action item that we need to take care of…
Action Item:  Share this post with someone who needs it right now.
