What Is The Law Of Attraction

The law of attraction is the belief that your thoughts have the power to attract into our lives whatever it is you are thinking about. This concept has been around for centuries, dating back long before Abraham-Hicks and their book, The Law of Attraction. Since then, there has been a plethora of research conducted on this idea which has conclusively shown that thoughts can indeed influence your life and experiences in an extraordinary way.

There are a few different versions to the law of attraction but they all involve positive thinking and how we view ourselves and life in general. At its core essence, these beliefs tell us that if you truly believe everything will be okay then it will be OK in some way or another.

The key in all of this is the way you think and your perspective. There are many different beliefs on the law of attraction and they each take a different stance on how it works. But one thing you will come across in all of them, are these two core beliefs:

"Like Attracts Like" – Whatever thoughts or feelings you have about yourself, your life, others, or the world around you will attract experiences that reflect those same thoughts and feelings back to you. "What You Think About Expands" – Whatever thoughts or feelings that you have about a certain situation will expand over time as you continue to think about them.

So if you are thinking positive thoughts and feel optimistic and grateful, then your experiences will reflect this. On the other hand, if you are always thinking negatively, whether consciously or unconsciously, then that is what you will attract into your life.

We receive exactly what we think about.

Which brings us to the important question: Since we attract into our lives whatever we think about, how do we change our thoughts to something more positive in order to attract more positive things into our lives? And furthermore, how do we make this a natural process so these new thought patterns become as normal as breathing? The answer is surprisingly simple: You need to reprogram your subconscious mind . . . . .  and fast.

There are many thoughts we have about love, relationships, life, and the world that aren't serving us in any way. We think about what relationships should be like and how we should act. We think about how life is supposed to be or what it should look like. We judge ourselves and others as a result of this programming. The problem is that when someone thinks negative thoughts they are creating these very same conditions in their lives which then manifest as negative experiences or circumstances that they then attract into their lives.

But what if we could change the way we think, so that instead of negative thoughts we would have positive ones? What if our thoughts and feelings started to reflect what we wanted rather than what was already happening in our lives? What if we could rid ourselves of the negative programming and thought patterns so that we could create a life more aligned with how we want it to look and feel?

Now there are many ways to do this. There is no one correct way. The Law of Attraction is not a rigid rulebook on how things are supposed to be. It is more of a guide, so there can be many different "right" ways to live a life that you want. But let's try to figure out exactly what we need to do in order to change our thought patterns and the way we think about everything. First and foremost, we have to understand them. The truth is that most of what we do or say without even realizing it is based off of our thoughts and feelings on a subconscious level.

How Does Our Subconscious Mind Work?

Your subconscious mind is not only the part of your mind that operates below the level of your conscious awareness, but it also controls every single thought and feeling you have, as well as how you feel both physically and mentally. It runs constantly in the background and is believed to be the main cause of every single decision you make and every choice you make, including who you choose to date or marry, what career path to choose, when to lose or gain weight, or even things as small as what you eat for lunch!

How do we know this? Because there have been all sorts of experiments conducted that prove this very point. Take for example the famous Pavlov Dog Experiment. In this experiment, a dog would be placed in a room with food on a certain bell. Every time the bell rang the dog would salivate and expect food upon hearing that bell without fail. So what happened when they rang a different bell? Well, the dog still salivated at the same time but it wasn't in response to food. He had learned that the ringing of that bell automatically brought about salivation regardless of any food being present.

This is an amazing example of your subconscious mind working in action. We have millions of thoughts, feelings and impulses every single day, both consciously and unconsciously and most times we do not even realize it because our subconscious mind operates outside of our conscious awareness, making our decisions for us without us ever realizing it.

Think about everything you have experienced in your life so far and everything you have done today for just 1 minute. Did you consciously think about and make plans for everything in advance before it happened? Did you plan out every detail of your day and your life before that moment? Or did you just go with whatever came up spontaneously, letting things unfold according to the natural flow of life? Did you spend that first minute thinking about what to do and then actively plan for things as you went along? Or did you instinctively just do what was "felt" right guided by a subconscious set of rules?

Most people would agree that they consciously made plans for their day and each step in their journey. However, it is quite interesting to see how many people do not even realize how much of their lives are planned out unconsciously. For example, did you know that many people eat unconsciously? People will eat their favorite meal 2 or 3 times a week and not even remember eating it. How is that possible? It's possible because you are doing exactly what the dog did in the Pavlov experiment when they unknowingly conditioned themselves to salivate at the sound of a bell.

You are creating subconscious thought patterns in your life by telling yourself certain things over and over again, to such an extent that they become automatic and you no longer realize it. This is why it is sometimes so hard to change certain behaviors or habits because we have created a subconscious pattern for them to occur without us ever having to consciously think about it. What Are Negative Thought Patterns?

Negative thought patterns are simply negative thoughts and beliefs that we tell ourselves over and over again which then become deeply engrained within our subconscious mind. If you have been telling yourself you can't do something or that something is impossible, then your subconscious mind will start to create reasons why it is true. If you continually tell yourself that no one likes you and you are unlovable, your subconscious mind will validate this belief by creating situations where no one likes you and therefore confirms this belief.

Conclusion: Negative Thought Patterns

The truth is we have absolutely no idea how powerful and how accurate the Law of Attraction actually is. There are a million stories out there about how different people have used it to manifest their lives in all sorts of ways, from winning the lottery to changing careers to fulfilling every single one of their dreams. There is no question that it does work just like anything else when you use it right. But do not be fooled into thinking that if you send out feelings or positive thoughts, then you will automatically make things happen. That's where "magic" comes in and that's why so many people fail to get what they want.
