“How Great is the Strength of Your Belief?”
Is your life what you want it to be? If not, it's possible that you are relying on beliefs that are creating the unhappy life you live. But it's never too late to change a belief for a happier one. It might take time, but as long as you have faith in your abilities and dedication to your path, everything will work out in the end.
Your beliefs inspire and direct your thoughts, emotions, and actions. They point you in the direction you are going to take. Sure, some beliefs are important; but others aren't worth carrying around.
Beliefs have an effect on all aspects of your life:
• Your physical health
• Your emotional health
• Your spiritual (conscious/subconscious) health
How Beliefs Work: Beliefs take hold because they feel right to you or seem logical enough to you. You think they might be true based on the experience you've had, or based on what someone else has told you. You might ask yourself "what if this is true?" because the belief seems to fit with what your experiences are telling you is true.
With enough time and experience, those beliefs can become a part of your subconscious mind, which is the part of you that operates the most consistently. It's doing many things at once. And it dwells on things that concern you or are interesting to you—like beliefs. Many subconscious thoughts are simply a habit of being dominated by negative ones.
The good news is that your subconscious mind is always listening and working toward creating what your conscious mind desires. It will work with the conscious mind to get you more of what you want in life, too! But if the conscious mind believes a certain way, it will have no problem using its power over all unconscious thoughts to help manifest those beliefs into physical reality, and then reinforce them even more.
How Beliefs Affect Your Results:
What if what you are doing is creating more unhappiness in your life, rather than happiness? What if a belief in "powerlessness" is the source of all your problems? Or that you should let others do the work for you and not even try?
You have to be able to get to the bottom of what beliefs are standing in your way of happiness. In order to do that, you'll have to take the time and effort to look at the beliefs that are holding you back. That's not going to be easy, but it's worth it. The sooner you understand how beliefs work, the sooner you will be able to change them.
How to Find Your Limiting Beliefs:
This is where you have to take the time and effort to look at your life and think about what you truly want. What would it take for you to be happy? What does happiness mean for you? When you ask yourself these questions, the answers may come quickly, or they may take some time. But no matter how long it takes, keep going!
Your subconscious mind might try to shut down because it would rather keep going in one direction than deal with an uncomfortable situation. It's only going to stop if you put your focus on what else is out there for you.
Write down what you want on a piece of paper. Read it out loud. Believe that it is possible; that you truly deserve to have what you are wishing for. Feel the feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. What seems really impossible to you at this moment might just be reachable if you believe that it is possible!
The more time you spend in a given direction, the more your subconscious mind will accept it as true and move in that direction. If your conscious and unconscious minds are pulling in different directions, this can create difficulties for you in life because your beliefs will affect your thoughts, emotions, actions, and even physical health!
Prayer works by opening up your conscious mind to allow communication with your subconscious mind. Prayer is using your conscious mind to convince your subconscious mind that you are heading in the right direction. The more you repeat what you want or what you truly believe, the more power it gains.
This is why repetition is so important and powerful when it comes to affirmations and prayers. You must keep talking to yourself. Don't move on until you understand why you are not already achieving what you are wishing for.
You will have to learn how to get down to the bottom of all the beliefs that might be negating your ability to achieve what you want in life. You will probably have a lot of beliefs that reinforce each other—perhaps one belief is being reinforced by another. The more powerful your belief, the more energy it will take out of your mind.
Nothing ever comes effortlessly...
What I mean is, if one belief wants to make you not believe in yourself, that belief will have to be weakened before another belief can take its place.
How Beliefs Let You Down: If a belief is not working for you anymore, it's time to let go of it. It may be holding you back from achieving your goals in life or from finding best health because of the way it's affecting your thoughts, emotions, actions and/or physical health.
Beliefs don't let you down because they are bad! They can be good too! The bad ones are the ones that stop you from getting what you want.
When you understand how your beliefs create your thoughts and feelings, you can turn things around. You might have to get over some old beliefs that are holding you back. But once they are gone, new ones can take their place instead. And soon, those old beliefs won't show up in your life anymore because they won't work for you anymore!
When Beliefs Hold You Back: • You believe something is true, but it's not working for you currently. Let go of it and try something else. • You believe something is true, but you don't know why you believe it. You might need to look for evidence that it's true. • You believe something is true, but it's not getting you what you want. You can change your focus and get rid of that belief or improve on it so that it's better. • You've been believing a certain way for a long time, and things are not improving in your life as much as they should be.
Conclusion: Beliefs Are Not Set in Stone
There was a switch that turned on in my mind when I first discovered the truth about belief. It explains so much about how things work and why people do what they do. It's like a pressure valve that lets negative beliefs out of your mind, so you don't have to deal with them anymore!
It's not enough just to understand how your beliefs affect you. You have to make sure the ones you hold true for yourself are helpful and supportive of who you are. Then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or says. You will know within yourself what is right or wrong for your life.
