It ain't over till' it's over.
That's the philosophy that the late great Yogi Berra is famous for, and the one you should adopt while you're learning something new. The course of a lifetime has plenty of twists and turns, so don't think it's time to give up just because things are difficult now - toughest battles are always fought in the final throws of a game!
Keep going! If we all gave up every time life got hard, we wouldn't have people like Leonardo Da Vinci or Vincent Van Gogh. But if we ditched the efforts, the hard work and the goal-setting, we wouldn't have people like Yogi Berra or Ted Williams!
Did they? Probably not! But they stuck with it and turned their bad days into great days. So use this article to console yourself, tear it up and continue knowing that there is always light at the end of a long tunnel!
I won't lie to you - it's obviously a lot of effort to do all this. You'll have to make time for it, you'll have to set goals and you'll have to figure out what works. But don't be discouraged - I'm going through this myself now. Here's a list of tools I've found useful and apps that can help you out:

This is by far the best way to keep track of goals and progress in life. It's completely free, it's easy to use and it's available on Android, iOS and even on the web!
Don't take it from me, though - sign up for yourself! What you'll get is a simple but deep goal-tracking app that will help you achieve your daily goals and long-term plans. It's incredibly satisfying to see progress and I highly recommend tracking everything from bodyweight, finances to freedom goals. You can use their free services or go premium - they have all this at different price points with one that's really ridiculously cheap!
My favorite tool for tracking everything fitness-related, it has a huge database of exercises along with videos showing how to do them. It's also integrated with my favorite gym app, which is perfect because I hate using public gyms. I use the web version of this all the time.
You can sign up for a free email account to access things like their unending supply of motivation stories or their free Beginner's Course - it has exercises and strategies for anything you want to get better at!
If you're like me, then you already have a great plan laid out - but occasionally something gets in the way and it's not going as well as you'd hoped. Use this site to remind yourself of your internal and external goals and why it matters so much to you.
Use this tool to take both your weight and your body fat percentage and it tells you how much muscle you have (and how much fat!)
Forget what other people think of you, this site focuses on what you think of yourself. You want to be a bigger, leaner, stronger version of yourself - now stop being a wimp and start getting there!
I'm sure we've all been there - out at the gym, working out hard but feeling like our muscles don't even look like they're working. This is something I struggle with myself, but I've found it really helpful for keeping track of my workouts. It's pretty simple and free!
This is one of my favorite apps for tracking my workouts.
