"I will persist until I succeed."

“I will persist until I succeed.” — Winston Churchill

Success is something that everyone strives for. Regardless of whether you are a student, athlete, entrepreneur or politician, the dream has always been one and the same: to be successful. But what does it even mean to be successful? Who decides who is 'successful' and who isn't? In this blog post I will discuss what success means in my life, as well as how success can affect your day-to-day life. First of all, we must define what success means. The dictionary defines it as "the achievement of wealth, position or fame". I don't want to get into a debate about whether or not that is true. I will go along with the idea that being successful is being able to make money, having a big house and expensive things, winning a bunch of awards (whether it be for acting or writing) and having high self-esteem. And if all of this sounds very narcissistic to you or you can't relate at all, then I am sorry.
The dictionary definition of success doesn't really describe me or my life in any ways, but one thing is clear: American culture has come to believe that success means you have to have everything 'perfect' and have everything be exactly how you would like it.
