Do you feel like life is a giant hamster wheel? Or like the weekend is too short and comes around far too quickly? This post will give you my secrets for how to navigate through the week and make your weekends as long as you want them to be!
The key to making every day live up to its potential is finding things that inspire, motivate, and invigorate you. You don’t need a lot of time for that—and even if the motivation hits at 3:00 on Friday afternoon, it can still work wonders. In this post I’ll share my best tips for getting more out of each day by infusing more meaning into your routine.
Here are the top 5 tips to make every day more worthwhile:
1. Get a (real) job? You’ll be surprised at how much time you’ll have when you don’t spend days looking for another job—or even thinking about it. Many people get so addicted to job searching that they forget to actually enjoy their lives. Don’t just sit there dreaming about your next career move; use your time making your current position better—no matter what it is—so that you can enjoy today and feel like you got a promotion by the end of the year!
2. Figure out what makes you happy. Sure, some people really love their jobs. But for most of us, a job is just a means to an end. To make your days more rewarding and your weekends quicker to get here, you need to figure out what does make you happy—then do more of it! (See my post “How to Find Happiness” for tips on doing this.)
3. Do something that scares you. Just going for a jog could be scary for someone who is out of shape or hasn’t exercised in years.
