Discover Your Path to Success – Part 4
You’ve heard it time and time again, but what do we actually mean when we say the word success?
Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. Let’s break this definition down to better understand what that means for you. What are you trying to accomplish? Have you set a goal for yourself that is measurable? Perhaps your goal is to earn $5,000/month before you turn 30 years old. Maybe it’s as simple as finding a way to work from home with your kids in tow. Or maybe it’s finding balance between career and your family. Whatever it is, you’re setting yourself up for success when you have a goal that is specific and measurable.
Where do you see yourself five years from now? Ten years from now? It’s important to have a vision for your future because having a goal gives you the motivation to work toward something. It makes sure that you are not settling for mediocre results because it provides the fuel to reach your full potential. Once you know where you want to be, it becomes easier to figure out how to get there. How will earning $5,000/month before turning 30 help me achieve my vision of my future? Achieving this particular goal allows me the freedom to travel with my family while still being financially secure. It also helps me to pay off my mortgage and have a nice emergency fund.
Once you have a vision for your future and a goal to accomplish, you will now be able to figure out what you need to do to make it happen. Without a clear picture of where you want to be, it’s hard to figure out what steps need to be taken in order for you reach your destination. If you’re not sure of your vision, or how to make it happen, it’s best to set the goal smaller than what you actually want. Once you know where you are heading, it will be easier for you to figure out how to get there.
When faced with problems, take a minute and think about what problem does this relate to? The problem is: I need money for my family to survive. The solution: I need more revenue sources (which is earning more).
One of the most important things that people do in their lives is work. What are you doing for work? What is your job title? Now that you know what it is, ask yourself why do I enjoy working as a (chocolatier/teacher/manager/etc.)?
Using the “why” approach to life will give you a clearer way of thinking about your purpose. If you are not happy in your current job, what would you rather do instead and why does it make you happy? Maybe you like working in chocolate because it smells delicious and it makes people smile upon receiving a gift of a chocolate bar. Maybe you like being a manager because it gives you full control over how the business will grow. Whatever your reason, if you do not enjoy something that you are currently doing, the next step is to change the way that you work so that it aligns with what you want.
Earning more revenue is the solution for earning money.
If we take a good look at our lives, there are always times when we have problems and challenges. If we think outside of the box during these times, we can find new ways of solving issues. This allows us to define what success actually means to us (a clearer picture of where you want to be). It will now give you the insight in how to make these problems disappear and unhappiness vanish from your life.
We’re not all constantly under stress and financial struggles, but there comes a time in everyone’s life where you have to make adjustments. Sometimes these adjustments have to be drastic. Remember when we were kids and come into the day saying that we are going to use our imagination? We had a plan for what we wanted to achieve, which was usually simple things like getting the toy that we wanted or simply playing with the new found piece of candy that we just found in one of our parents’ closets. Each year, as we grew older, it became harder and harder for us to make those “simple plans” work. Instead we would often get caught up in spending money on things that we didn’t really need.
That’s not to say that as adults we can’t use our imagination when it comes to our goals and dreams. Of course we can! It just means that now the only way you can get those results is by being strategic with your thought process and planning strategies for what you are going to do. This allows you to take out all of the guesswork and put it into a structured plan for creating your dream life.

My biggest goal is to help others find their purpose in life. I want everyone to find meaning in their lives and I want everyone to be able to take the first step towards achieving their goals.
I recently was asked this question: "What if you do not have a purpose?" My response was a little different from what you would expect.
I'm gonna be honest with you, I know there are still people out there who don't believe in having a purpose for life. Also, I know that the thought of creating a mission statement for your life may seem like something that is hard or even impossible to do.
Conclusion: I believe that every person has a purpose in life. Even if you're going through a difficult time or you don't feel as if you have any meaning, there is always a reason for your existence. Life is too short to not find your purpose in it.
To create an effective mission statement, ask yourself these 3 questions:
1. What do I enjoy doing?
2. Why do I enjoy doing what I like to do?
3.
