Change Your Tone
I'm sure that at some point in your life, you've had an experience with a rude person. Maybe someone cut the line, or maybe someone just decided to say something on the internet that hurt your feelings. The world seems to be full of rude people and so many of them seem to be disappointed by their own lives.
The only time this is an issue is when it's directed at you: when it's directed at others who have no say in it, or when it jeopardizes your mental health.
So what do we do? How do we stop the bullies from bullying us?
The short answer is: We don't. You can't get them to treat you nicely if they're unhappy with their own lives or their own image of themselves. You can't prevent them from bullying you.
All you can do is control your behavior and your reaction: the impact that it has on your life.
I'm sure that there are many people who have been victims at some time in their life; I'm sure there are many people who have felt like victims at some point in their lives, and have reacted in a way that only made them feel worse, even if temporarily satisfied. It's important to do whatever you can to stop the behavior and make people happy.
Take it off the internet, put it in one of those bulky shoeboxes in the attic, or make your sister wear it. You know what? You gave your sister money for that necklace!
I'm sure there is a better way than making some ugly jewellery for some stranger. Does this mean I'm advocating that people act like idiots on Facebook, looking like a fool day after day? No. What I am saying is that you should control your reaction and teach others not to treat you like a victim if they're not treating you nicely.
People don't like feeling stupid and they don't like people who make them feel bad about themselves. Nobody wants to be on the receiving end of someone else's mental issues: We're all here trying to have a good time. Be the person who has fun and doesn't terrorize others. Remember that we're all walking around with our own issues and we all have our own music blaring in our own heads. The last thing we need is someone else's abrasive sounds coming through the speakers.
Leave other people alone, no matter how they behave towards you, because if they want to keep being miserable, you should let them be miserable by themselves. Maybe that's the best course of action for you.
If someone makes you feel bad, ignore them, be friendly with them and put on your own music. Don't let their bullies get to you. Control your reaction. Ignore them. You don't need them or their problems in your life: You're not a victim and they're not a victimizer.
Everybody has their issues, even those they pretend to have no issues with: We all have mental health issues in some form or another; it's just human nature. And it goes back to that need I mentioned in the beginning: We all want to feel loved and appreciated.
If someone is being rude or bullying you, take a deep breath, relax and realize that it's not about you; it's about them and their issues. Don't EVER let anyone make you feel bad about yourself: You are beautiful, intelligent and free in spirit.
Don't react or fight back when someone else is shoving their problems down your throat. It's not your problem: It's theirs . Remember that no one cares as much as they pretend they do , so don't let them fool you into thinking they actually care when they're just bullying you on the internet.
You're beautiful and you're free, so leave the other person who's being rude alone to wallow in their own misery. Hate doesn't solve anything: you can't talk someone out of being stupid, and you have better things to do with your time than getting involved in all of their drama.
Somewhere along the way, most people seem to forget that we're all here having fun. Just remember that we're all human and we all have issues and emotions that get in our way. You can't fight someone else's battles for them, just as they can't fight yours for you: You have to learn to control things on your own .
So stop being a victim and start living your life.
Yeah, it's going to suck being a victim because nobody wants to be one. Don't feel bad about it: Just come out of the tunnel and enjoy your life . Don't let anyone else run your life by forcing their own problems and issues on you.
By doing this, you'll learn to control yourself, so if someone does treat you badly, you can handle the situation and not react in any way that will further their own revenge on you; or so that they can continue creating drama for themselves and their friends.
You're beautiful and you're free. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Stay positive, stay happy and put on some music.
Have a great day!
Don't forget your smile!
